The *Official* Eve Online Thread

Varies a fair bit, I've completed some solo in sub 30 minutes, others have taken 2-3 hours (inc salvaging after)
The longer missions also pay significantly more.

One of my fave earners is The Blockade against Sansha :)

I'm only on level 3 at the moment. :)

2-3 hours, do you know what you earned after?

I usually go by the hour of mining. It's usually about 4/5 million if I mine scordite per hour. Havn't used my T2 Mining drones yet though.

Think me and a mate made about 20 million each (50/50 split) doing The Blockade and then salvaging and selling everything after the mission yesterday.
I'd say it was sub 2 hours start to finish without much problem.

The blockade is one of the harder ones, that, I know of. :)

If I was mining dark ochre or something I'd making a lot more... I really should play and start moving down to 0.0 with my corp. :\

Yeh its one of the harder ones against Sansha/Blood Raiders I've done (against gallente/caldari the missions are a lot harder due to resists and the fact I can only do EM/Therm damage with lasers)

We'd had completed the Blockade a lot quicker if my mate had a ship that can deal damage better, so it was mostly me dealing the damage out with him just using his drones to suppliment and then remote reppers and energy transfers to help me out :)

I was in a Abaddon, him in a Myrmitar :)

Better than nothing plus I'm sure there were some elite frigs to take care of so drones are just a must I believe. Large turrets won't do much against them. :p

My 2nd account is flying a drake just now. T2 fitted and handles Level 3s fine but I doubt I'll take him into level 4s. Just get into a raven at that point.

Only problem on the Blockade is balancing damage/tank in a way that means you can complete the mission in a sensible time :P Against Sansha flying an Abaddon is probably one of the best, if not the best T1 Battleship you could fly for the mission.

You'll probs have no issue tanking a level 4 mission in a Drake, I've got a mate who still swears by his as he cba with the effort of active tanking on a ship to beat the passive recharge on the drake :P Fly with a mate who can deal out some damage and its good fun :)

On a different note:
Me and a few mates are all thinking of leaving our current corp for one more active. Wanting to find one with plenty of activity that will accept a range of pilots and be up for both PvPing and missions. In an ideal world I'd love to be able to log in at pretty much any time and have something to do :P (asking too much here?)

Ewww passive. :p I like my invulns and other such things.

Try and find a corp with a good mix of nationalities, my one has GMT and US people. Mostly US though. Means if you're on stupidly late the yanks will be on or if it's afternoon some british and what not. Check the recruitment sub forum on the eve forums. :)

Personally I tend to ignore Invulns as passive, they use so little cap its barely worth counting. I just meant using Shield boosters :) - no need on a Drake tbh!

Good point on the good mix of people :)

Tell me about it, OCUK "group" seem to be based in Caldari space and I've come over from Amarrian territory with my amarr born character, in my Abaddon also.
Royal pain in the ass not being able to do Kinetic damage..
But I've been missioning with Kitty (kittivas) for so long I've forgotten what it was like over in Penirgram.

Gotta love Penirgram / Khopa. Loads of great Level 4 missions :)
Can;'t wait to have the rep to move to an agent with a higher quality to see if the pay is any better mind.

Imagine I'll change corp before that happens which will involve moving to a new agent anyway.

I wouldn't get too hung up on running missions to make a living, there are loads of different ways to make isk in eve. Unless PVE is your thing passive income is the way to go

I have an alt station trading making 200 mil a week easy, 10 mins updating orders twice a day then log into pvp main in 0.0 and away you go.

T2 module invention is also a good way to go for semi-passive income provided you have skillz. You can train a good research/trade alt in under a week and get copying/researching to augment your inventor.

TLDR - PVE in Eve is sh*te, try to make the most amount of isk with minimum involvement

Even though I had only just started L3s in my Myrm (cap stable armor tank + las0r fit - didn't have the skills for shields, never gets below 85% armor though :D) and in the space of three days my wallet jumped from like 20mil to 60mil just from mission running (all L2s on the first day and L3s on the last two) and salvaging, was quite a decent way to get money considering the mission level :)
It's even better that I got the Myrm for free off a mate :D

If you're new(ish) to the game and want to start making some serious money, firstly train up salvaging and secondly join a corp - just ask in corp chat if you can salvage for some people running L4s, you'll make an insane amount of money in a relatively short amount of time ;)

yeah not able to get in game as my sub ran out ages ago.
gonna cost up getting some, is it 600 for two month?

so i'm perhaps nearing the stage where i'm ready to join a corp, i've got over 1mil SP now and i have a fairly good idea what i want to do in the game, mostly mining and missions but with the occasional bit of PvP, i was wondering if there were any ocuk corps that would welcome a new player for these tasks?
