[ folding ] Ukraine will pass us in the next 24 hours.

I love windows (no really :p) just not when it wants to play silly buggers with me

Linux and multiple gpu folding is no more fun I can promise you. For quite a while I could have gpu folding or a gui, but not both. Not fixed by reinstalls either, I must remember to backup my xorg.conf before I do anything drastic.

Is the gigabyte giving you any particular trouble? Most of the work is done using vcore and qpi, occasionally varying the ucore (uncore?) ratio to see if other ones work better for you. Not that I can help much, can't seem to get over 4ghz stable on mine.

Thats the bigadv love he is sharing out there :D

The good news is that my machines back on A3's

It's worthwhile just having a backup - some package managers have a tendency to overwrite xorg.conf with default ones (which is teh suck if you are like me and have heavily modified configs)

.walls is laying down some serious ppd atm. output two days of ~80k and over 120k yesterday

I don't know what you're talking about :whistles nonchalantly: :D

It's only temporary, however :(

I'm sure you were advising this time of this year for a move over to bigadv after the 'infrastructure' was sorted.. :D

I have a reasonably low spec rig, could get a few k though... every little helps? E2140 @ stock with an 8400GS (have an x1950 Pro but no linux drivers) and 2GB memory.

What do i need to do?

I imagine the E2140 could get some OK PPD, though I have no idea what! :p 8400GS might chuck out a few thousand PPD, but again not sure how much. The 8800s do something like 4K or so I think. The GPU client doesn't support the X1900 series anymore. 2GB is more than enough.

My 8600GTS is on 4320PPD  :D on 445 pointers but normally it's just under 2k, so tbh you'd be lucky to get 1k on an 8400.

Plan is to install my server OS today and other stuff. May have it running just SMP while it is living in my room. :)
