You can get them at the station. if i remember correctly you only need to get a day tube pass for zones 1 and 2 but a londoner will correct me if we are traveling outside of those two zones.

Nearly all of my male friends are infact gay, I have a lot of lesbian friends to. Hence me being in gay bars a lot of the time.
