Another mini plot hole... why does the origami bird have blood on its feet, if the victims only ever die by drowning.

Maybe old Scotty boy just dips them in red paint for extra dramatic effect? :p

I've just lost my save game which I'm ****** off about. The position where my save should be now has the prologue saved there, i.e. I have to start again...has this happened to anyone else (any possible way to recover?)

I was at the point where the police busted into my flat and I escaped and ran along the roof and got caught because I missed 1 or 2 buttons, I didn't want to get caught so I reset the PS3 and thus lost my save game.

^ Is this fairly close to the end of the game for anyone who's completed it?

how about you don't reset your ps3 when it's saving, especially when you can just reload the previous chapter and re save....
 
Well I did really badly last night in the old power station section with Ethan. :/

Loving this game, but can't begin to think ho wmuch time I needed to spend in each section to get trophies for that scene.

I also forgot to clean down the telephone. :o

Can I go back and get the trophies by selecting the scenes I want the trophies for or do I have to play the whole game through again?

You can reload the chapters you wish to redo, BUT subsequent chapters will still retain the decisions you made in your original playthrough, until you replay them.

i.e. Say I play chapters 1-5 and I get Ethan killed in chapter 2. If I just go back and relay chapter 2 (and save him) then he will be alive for that chapter, but he will still be dead in 3,4,5 unless I continue to play them after replaying chapter 2. So it sort of saves your latest actions into the game save. You can also reload a chapter and choose NOT to save, which will get you the trophy but not save any decision based changes you made.

A lot of scenes just have 1 trophy, some have 2 based on action a) or action b)

p.s. Can Ethan die in the power station (that was 1 variation I had not tried)?

Ahh thanks for that, I think I shall replay them after I complete the game and not save my decisions but get my trophies. :D

I did woefully bad in that section (got the whole red mist around the edges of the screen in the generators section) and it ended with him walking out the door automatically, so I'd assume he cannot die in that scene. I really did think when he fell on the floor he ws dead, but he wasn't.

I do really badly playing as Ethan, I couldn't do the driving the wrong way section for toffee. :o

Ah, shame he cannot die that early :)

The driving section is a bit of a con imo. No matter how good/bad you do it seems to end the same way!

I did feel really guilty though when I cut his finger off. I turned to my missus (who incidentally love this game and is gripped by the story line) and said "I can't believe I just cut his finger off!"

that was a really good scene, was tense as hell, and he wouldn't stop screaming. I felt so bad! and then I shot someone, that was really bad aswell. I went into that trial saying I won't do it aswell :|
 
Lol, I didn't shoot anyone as Ethan, my conscience got the better of me, shame the same could not be said when I was playing as Jayden. :o

I do like beating up on Blake though. :D
 
The best ending in my eyes is the one i was hunting high and low for tears in the rain.
I didnt expect him to shoot himself after madison said she wanted a baby and start a new life :(

Thanks for the info will not do that from now on. I knew that - but it was just in the heat of the moment. The autosave is a bit annoying anyway - rather that save at the end of a scene it saves in silly places.
 
Just wondering if you can take everyone bar Ethan to the end of the game?

Presumably if you fail all the trails you wont get the address so he wont know where to go? Or if you get him arrested twice during the game does the second time not give you the opportunity to break him out of prison as Jayden?

Also is it now confirmed that there's 19 possible endings?

Yes you can take just the others. Technically there were 17 "endings".

52 x "Scenes" that can be replayed.
1 x "Epilogue - News Report" (which changes depending on the ending)
17 x "Epilogue - xxxxxxxxxxx" (names of other ending (cut)scenes).

Not really endings as such, as 3-4 scenes play out every time you play the last level, the ones that play vary depending on the previous actions you took, but some are combinations of others. i.e. one scene can be Madison's grave, but this same epilogue can play in various endings.
