It really doesn't
But it is the best looking game by a long way still.
You sure about that, even at high settings? (not very high)

Basically what I'm yammering on about is let's not just cry the same tired 'console port' line just yet. There's a good chance with a good studio it's actually worked in our favour as PC gamers, simply setting the requirements bar lower and letting us surpass it further..
I'm not so sure. Crytek are a massively talented studio, and what people will nodoubt end up confusing with 'console-port' is Crysis 3 at medium settings on the PC looking like the console version, whilst it will still likely have a good few more steps of graphical options to take advantage of that extra grunt.
That was half the problem with Crysis. On all medium settings it still looked good, and played very well. But everyone who spent thousands on their systems or half a grand on a graphics card thought it was their god given right to max out every game in existence, and subsequently threw their toys out of the pram.
The interface in Crysis is already primed for console release. Selecting different suit modes is something easily done, and could be very easily done on a pad too (Full 360 pad support in Crysis, which worked very well). The only thing they needed to really whip into shape was getting it running on console hardware, which they will invariably have had to cut a few corners to do so.

I'm just worried because Crytek showed massive disappointment in how much Crysis was pirated, you have to wonder if they will give the P.C. crowd as much attention this time around now it's not platform exclusive.
Must admit it looks good but i aint going to be upgrading my Spec for it....
I really don't think I've seen Crysis engine in any other environment outside of jungle. Are there any examples of games that have used the engine well?
