The same CPU as you coincidently, a E8500 OC to 3.8, with a GTX280, so i guess CPU wise if your getting 60FPS i should be fine with my setup at 1680x1050

Think i might pick this game up now, only thing holding me back was worrying it would not run that well
 
how well would my game run this. core i7 at 3.8 or 4ghz 6gb corsair ddr3 1333 ram and a 4870x2? with 8AA 16AF in dx 10. would i stay 60fps and above?
 
I'm still getting horrific screen tearing and it's really, really annoying. All settings are maximum and I've checked in the settings.ini to make sure it was actually switched on, which it is but it certainly doesn't look that way.

Terrible tearing, any suggestions anyone?

No, the name is below but to be honest it's better to just refresh the entire server list and then sort alphabetically, scroll down to where all the Multiplay.co.uk servers are and it's one of the first, it has TFU/OCUK in the name.

Enable vsync. When youve enabled it switch resolution to something elese, then switch to your preferred red.

Theres a bug that wont enable vsync uless the video mode is changed like that.

that will fix ur problems, make sure vsync isnt forced off in ur graphics card settings

Read that yesterday and tried it. I launched the game, went into the options and changed res, then launched a single player level and went into the options to change back to my native res. Still bad tearing, did I do it wrong or is that the way that it's supposed to be done?
 
White Pixels

Seems to be a graphical glitch I noticed last night playing.. 2-4 white pixels stuck bottom right hand of the screen when playing.. thought it was my TFT at first but seeing screen shots in the High Res Thread seems to be a common problem..

Is it a matter of waiting for an update from EA? Thanks :)

vsync musnt be enabled. check your settings.ini for bfbc2.
Also, check ur graphics card settings to either check vsync is forced on, or that its set to let the application decide what settings are used.

Finally, run d3doverrider and have vsync/triple buffering enabled, this app is part of rivatuner.

have u got all monitor drivers enabled ?
is it a 60hz monitor ?
if so run fraps and see if ur fps is capped at ur refresh rate, if it's not, vsync isnt enabled and thats why ur getting tearing (when ur fps goes above ur refresh rate ur monitor cant render the framerate properly and causes tearing).

I get that :(

I choose to run everything on low anyway to get a constant 120fps..
 
If any of you got this off steam and redeemed your code for the unlocks and found they arent there. When you go into a game you will be able to use them dont worry.

Just woke up and cant log in. Damnit.

My server browser is terrible, click search and i could leave it for 10mins and it would keep searching, so after 30secs i click cancel, then the servers come up. Not always showing the pings though which is annoying.
