Any tips for FPS increases?

Have turned textures to medium, Bloom, HSAO, all of and 1x AA/AF.

Does the DX version make a real difference?

Yeah, you'll get a huge framerate jump if you switch to DX9. Looks so ugly going back to having no anti-aliasing though.

I can only run 2x AA and 8x AF with my 4870 1gig and AMD Phenom II X4 3.40GHz And that's with HSAO off too

Are you serious?? Something not right there, I can run on my setup in signature a good 40-60fps, fully maxed DX11, 1080p and 2xAA

You have a much better processor than I do and the games meant to be a bit more cpu intensive, hhmmm but sound is meant to be fairly intensive so I guess that's where my sound card helps, you got all drivers updated, nothing running int he background etc?

Yeah well I asked about it on the General Hardware forum and was told my graphics card was the problem. I didn't think the 4870 was THAT ancient, but maybe it is. I am running at 1920x1200 though

40-60fps? i have same cpu at 3.4gz i never go below 55-70 what you got your cpu at with 16af and 8xaa hbo on all maxed 1080p dx11 windows 7 64bit 5850 at 881/1190 also i have a soundcard not onboard aswell

Its a smooth 40-60 so its fine, the cpu is stock closk 2.4 because I have a crap mobo and I'm not buying a new one now just for the sake of overclocking, i'll wait to update my system when it's needed

Well I guess I'm probably getting around 40-50fps with 2x AA. I'm on Vista 64 which may slow me down a little

I wonder if the problem is the Audigy 2 ZS - that's positively ancient these days!

had a bloody good game last game. Got 2800 points but i could have had more i layed a lot of mines around the roads (forgot what map) and when i see a tank i hide away...but a few times when im running away i get killed and the bloody tanks blow up! i swear i could have gained another 2000 points if BC2 gave you points when your dead.

Getting around 80-100fps with 5770 Crossfire, I need to up the settings I think!

Are you running in DX9? It's only available in DX10/11

Yeah that was me lol, sorry, I remember you a few times as i looked through scope, you'd just got into a position and whack, I remember thinking this guys going to remember me.

One thing I'm unsure of is if all the kills register, as I swear I kill loads sometimes, and usually I get about 6, it looked more like 16 to me, anyone else get this?
