My K/D is currently > 1. I'm trying desperately to keep it that way :D

If I'm a sniper, I kill someone and move. You have to be near the objective and dynamic. Camping only works if you're covering the objective otherwise you're retarded.

What annoys me about the snipers are that they don't get involved with the objectives. I was playing on the TFU server last night and on the lighthouse map we had 5 snipers up in the lighthouse sniping, despite the fact we were getting hammered on the ground and were pushed right back to the final base in short order. Did they swap class or even just come help? No, they sat there and got the occasional kill.

I exited last night after the teams were just being complete idiots. Not defending, not attacking, all just sat back doing nothing. Was not too impressed.

I must say I think I prefer Rush as well. I feel quite sad saying that as I loved conquest in 1942, Vietnam and BF2, but I just don't feel it works in BC2, or maybe it's just because Rush actually offers a better style of gameplay, who knows!

They really need to have a cap on Recon classes.

Most people who play Recon are beyond useless and don't help out with the objectives at all.

Screw your precious k/d ratio, lets win the friggin' game...!

We were discussing it quite a bit on vent last night.

There is only so much that can be done. Especially so early in the games release. Other than outright kicking people that don't play the way we want there isn't much available

Someone hasn't hacked bots into multiplayer mode have they? Just played a random rush game and just wow, it wasnt just poor/rookie players, there just wasnt any challenge until the very last M-com, one squad mate and I took 3 out of the first 4 points killing 3 guys in total on a pretty full sever, I even checked the usual sniping spots waiting for the front to advance and only found one guy. Only by the last point did the other team manage to form one or two squads with their head screwed on who actually defended the general M-com areas.

Don't know if it was lonely house wifes/husbands getting bored and logging into their partners accounts or what but seriously I dont think half the players (on either team) knew how to move and aim without thinking about it beforehand, and I saw a few people including one guy in my team who in a tank seemed to be acting like a bot who had bugged path finding just judering back and forward on the spot until he died. Im not a great/serious player but that game has me worried about the quality of peoples brains these days...

On the plus side though, I just got my beta invite to lego universe :D :D :D *dances like a little child*

Yup as Gornal said!

We cant dictate to players on the server how to play otherwise EA will wipe our server. The game has to be played on face value. We cant warn or tell people to use certain classes etc as its totally against EA's server use agreement.

Every1 rages at admin but we have very little power over what happens on a server.

Am I missing something or is the BC2 stats sig allowed now cus I see a number of people still using it.

I did have one too but I noticed it was too big in file size and width, else I would still have it:(

I remembered why I was raging last night, completely useless team. I was the ONLY person spotting the enemy, some retard in the UAV wasn't even spotting, which is the main point of the UAV FFS!!

Can you quote the text if not too large, can't sign in there at work :(

While the core of the dev team here at DICE as well as all the back-end teams at EA are 110% focused on stabilizing the game experience we do have some other, great news to reveal. Today we’re happy to announce the release date of the second VIP map package for Battlefield: Bad Company 2! It will be made available on the 30th of March on all platforms at no extra cost to all of you who’ve got your VIP codes entered in the game. VIP Map Pack 2 contains the following:

Arica Harbor Conquest mode - US Command launches a break through action directly at the Russian base. Collateral damage is of no consequence. Capture and secure tactical positions in Conquest Mode across the vast Arica Harbor map.

Laguna Presa Rush mode - The valley and surrounding mountains possess a strategic value in the battle for South America, and an infantry assault supported by light armor vehicles is likely by both armies as US forces defend the nearby Dam.

VIP members will be able to expand on the deep and ever changing sandbox experience, which in itself provides near endless hours of entertainment, by having new content to keep things fresh. It also plays a vital part in making sure you, the players get proper value for the money you’ve invested in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. This is why these map packs are available at no extra cost, contradicting the industry standard and what our direct competitors are doing. Of course, it also helps avoid segmenting the community, making sure everyone can play together having the same maps available. There will be future paid downloadable content as well but these packs will focus on expanding other parts of the game experience rather than the selection of maps available for the basic game modes. We’re dedicated to taking care of this product for a long time – helping you avoid “mapathy” without getting nickel-and-dimed.

Finally, a big shout-out to all the fans that are playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 at the moment. We can see from the logs that you’re spending some crazy hours on the Battlefield – in only the last 24 hours you all logged more than 2.5 million game hours. Impressive!

Best regards,
KM Troedsson
