Metro: 2033, trailer

Also, when the game/world's 'currency' is ammo/weapons, why are guns/ammo littered all over the place?

because broken guns in a post apocalypse aren't worth the metal they're made out of.

And ammo made by someone you don't know is a risk with every shot.

* assuming it has some form of weapon degradation.

Would be cool removing the good parts say the bolts from a bunch of ak's with crushed barrels for sale later.

I can but hope :(

That would be cool, on the first vid the guy said there will be a lot of scavenging and collecting so you never know!

a lot of the guns look like they are held together with string and duct tape!

Even if this game is utterly pants, I pre-ordered it via steam to get the red faction guerilla game (free) with it and I actually really enjoy that so I won't be too bothered if metro 2033 is turd or not lol. If its good though, bonus! :D

As much RAM as possible (8GB+)

this means what? the first game ever to use as much ram as it can grab? and whats it being used for also? the graphics are great but thier not mind blowing considering the power an i7 and 8gb of ram and a gtx 480 posesses.

i hope it does
i need something to make full use of my hardware

Was considering pre-ordering this on steam, as I saw it came with RF Guerilla, and the 2 at £30 seemed like a decent deal.

For some reason it's not got any option for pre-ordering at all, let alone with RF: G. Anyone got any ideas why?

Oh, and noticed the "optimal requirements" and almost had a heart attack:
Optimum Requirements:

Processor: Core i7 CPU
Memory: 8GB RAM or higher
Graphics: NVIDIA DirectX 11 compliant graphics card (GeForce GTX 480 and 470)
DirectX®: DirectX 11

^ Odd, looks like you can't buy it on Steam at the moment then, wonder if its coming back or not, seems a bit odd to just drop it like that whilst still listing it will unlock in 6 days 4 hours.

Hmm..Odd. I preordered it a while ago so I wonder what this will mean for me.

Game looks absolutely amazing.
Perfect timing too, as I finished Call of Pripyat the other week.

Does anyone know if you can activate a retail version on Steam, as I can see it being sold in various places for a decent price and it supports Steamworks.
