Basically as above but also I'd like to know if I have trim installed too?

After running intels toolbox it reports my firmware as 2CV102G9 but I can't find anywhere on intels update page that mentions what the latest firmware revision is?? It just says:
Intel® X25-M/X18-M SATA SSD on 34nm (silver case) - updates to FW version 02HD ???

Also when I run the toolbox and select ssd management tools a red box comes up and says 'this tool is not supported on the selected drive' yet it should support mine? Maybe it's because I havent got the latest firmware installed?

So basically should I upgrade and will this upgrade include trim?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

The firmware update utility will tell you if you already have the latest, and you don't lose any data updating it, so there's no reason not to.
I believe the AS-SSD benchmark will tell you firmware revision, It's probably in the drive info on the toolbox too.

Yes:

Intel has released a new firmware (02HD) and firmware update tool (version 1.5) to fix the issue with the firmware update process on 34nm (G2) Intel® X25-M SSDs (80GB and 160GB).

Intel recommends that end users Download this firmware update tool and upgrade your SSD

• This new firmware provides Trim support (on 80GB and 160GB) and better sequential write performance (on 160GB)

From the Intel SSD forum.
