German internet to be restricted to 6:00 to 22:00

There's not many things that would get us brits all up in arms and ready to revolt. Restricting our access to free porn for the blokes, and facebook for the ladies would probably just about do it.

violent protests, and terrorism is one thing....but millions of keyboard warriors?

it would be like the PS3 clock glitch meets the rapture.
 
What of those people who clearly work late evenings. Say for example sleep till 14:00 and finish work at 00:00. Won't go to bed till about 06:00. You can't deprive them of the internet in the only hours that they are at home and awake. They would have to abolish any late working shifts.

I think someone has been over exaggerating a bit too much. Furthest they could do is censor the internet and control what you're allowed to see.

I thought that the proposal was to restrict domestic usage to 22:00 to 06:00 so as to allow businesses to get fast speeds during the normal working day . . . but I may have got that wrong :confused:
 
Yay, now we won't get the German cheats on our late night gaming sessions :)

But seriously that is messed up, I see a revolution coming soon if this law passes. Or a Coup not sure which one is relevant.
 
I can read German, and the text says that they want to block websites that contain child pornography. And Pedofile-boards (didn't know these exist) complain about this.

Can't read anything about a general Internet restriction in that article.
