*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

What was everyone expecting really? I know id have done the same thing in activisions position. They could charge what they wanted because they know people would buy it cos mw2 is "the game" to own.

What your getting for 1200 points is a joke tbh and i wouldnt expect anything else. Bunch of money grabbing peeps who dont care about their consumers. Push out a broken overpriced product with rubbish testing and then an overpriced map pack to go with it. I know i sound like a troll but thats how i feel.
 
I'll buy them if the 4 peeps I play most with get them. I managed to get it for £23 so, like others, it doesn't seem too bad to buy the content. I've paid about £8 in DLC for 2 'memories' on AC2 which won't provide the game time MW2 maps would. Though £10 does seem ridiculous really considering they were possibly maps already made that didn't make the cut!

I'll be gutted if they turn out to be boring like I find some maps to be (sniping on Wasteland or Highrise for example).
 
Not happy about the price but will probably pay anyway.

Just got back up to Lvl.70 on my first prestige; don't think ill prestige 2nd yet though, enjoying the AK-47 too much!

I'm the same.It's the best gun in the game by far!I'm gonna unlock all attachments and get 1000 kills with it before prestiging again.I hope next time they don't have a gun you unlock at the last level as it's a complete waste of exp.
 
had to whip out the choppa gunner tonight,pave low starting to get boring,forgot how many kills you can get with that thing if know one has stingers equipped.I cant wait for overgrown on the new map pack,are they like changing the map so its like 5 years on or how many years the single player story was from cod4.
 
Im on xBox and ill be buying it, i realy enjoy playing when i have spare time and would enjoy it even more with some extra maps.

But saying that MW2 is the only console game i play

I agree, im not going to prestige again, just hit level 70 1st prestige last night and have decided to be a nerd and max out all the weapon and perk challenges :D

I love it when you prestige. You get to go back to basics and its a lot more enjoyable. If you just stick at L70 it would soon get boring using the best guns and perks all the time. I like the challenge of playing with the lower guns/equipments. Although I do miss claymores when i do.

Yeah its fair enough but most of the Pres 10's are cheats. You can tell by their hours played anyway. I do check out how long they have been playing before I throw in my abuse :p

What's broken with it exactly? And whys it a 3 year old game?

The concept of the game is the same as its a winning formula. Only an idiot wouldnt cash in with a game like this.

Ive had about 9days of game play and paid £26 for it. Which is certainly bargain of the year in my eyes. Im sure there are plenty of games that you like that others think are rubbish but you dont see us trolling about it :rolleyes:

Do you have evenings where games just go exactly your way? I'm not a bad player, but last night, I had the highest kills/longest streak/fewest deaths in 13 out of 15 team deathmatch games.

I could have carried on playing all night!

Unfortunately we play as a team and if we beat another group easily then they just leave.

TD games are easier to rack up the kills as well because you have no objectives in the game which require you to rush into a warzone.

I get this all the time, im either on fire for most matches or im letting the team down horribly :p

Its wierd though if im on a hot streak and i get up to do something, by the time i get back im hopeless and vice versa

Sometimes I do just get on a great streak (I'd never be able keep it going as long as that though!).

Unfortunately other times I seem to spend the entire game on fire or exploding constantly.

And isn't that the beauty of the game?? One day you are awesome the next awful...........just like my recent ventures on the golf course and hence why i keep going back!!!
