Post hoc ergo propter hoc?
Or in other words, what evidence is there for the higher spending being a result of downloading.
What evidence is there that its not?

That's a matter of opinion to be honest. What seems fair to you might not be fair to him.
yes
but i dont think they will cut you off straight away
they will write to you and warn you ..
so said parents, would make sure said 16 year old stops downloading pirate material
Yeah because there are so many great parents out there at the moment that would police this.![]()

Avatar Grossed $2,638,344,000...
How is illegal file sharing affecting the movie industry again ?
......So you want it for free? Why should you have it for free?
Everything is available for cheap, its just the fact people dont want it for cheap, because they can get it for free.
they really are squeezing the public and limiting the rights day by day.

Isnt there a tax in place that pays the entertainment industry an X amount of money for compensation against piracy? Could be wrong
So if that is true then we are already paying for it![]()
Yeah, a brilliant example of preaching to the choir, you only saw the adverts saying don't steal this material if... you hadn't stolen it.

Hmm lets see....how about after sales? And renting sales? among others.
The above figure is from Cinema sales most likely.
So because a film makes its money back from the cinema sales its fair game and anyone can get it for free now then yes?![]()
If you've got Spotify Premium gives you the option to save your playlists so they work offline (perfect for the iPhone).
That for me has pretty much killed any urge to download MP3s.
Wow talk about twisting words, at no point did i say i wanted it for free, however you might consider £8 a fair price for an album but i might consider £5 a fairer sum.
Again! whether something is cheap is a matter of opinion and perspective if you're earning 100k a year a 20k car is cheap if you're on 20k it's a huge amount, similar applies here except this time it's dependant on disposable income and the amount of music you consume. Of course you will get some that will always go for the free option but some people simply can't afford to pay for all their music, prime example here being students.
How exactly is file sharing impacting its income again ?
I'll be honest, this is what happened to me, I had an email from my ISP directly and they mentioned that I had obtained some files from a site...but had no 'physical' record of it...so were merely warning me.
Upto the user if they wish to risk it again
Actually I think it goes the other way. If people enjoy the downloaded film then they often go out and buy the blu ray or dvd.
Personally I dont go to the cinema because it is just stupidly over priced. I am not saying I download stuff but if poorer families cant afford it then they will view it through other means.
Or would you prefer only a section of society have the right to access this entertainment? I bet you voted for Uni fees too
Actually we didnt vote as it was just put in place whether we liked it or not. Sound familiar?![]()
