The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

dont think they should have revealed hitmans not broken leg (which he couldnt sell) till the night of the match have him hoble down to the ring then take the cast off in the ring.

most looking forward to taker vs HBK, not sure how there gonna play it, i cant see them ending HBKs career but i cant see why they would end the streak either.

they also totaly wasted the oppertunity with stone cold on the show.

Terrible pop for Stone Cold also it should have been HUGE, Cena got a bigger pop 10 minutes later when he came out for his match with show. Just shows how many kids there are in attendance these days. No stunner either, wtf!

Sheamus also got some good heat when he came out for his 'match' against Bourne. I definitely think he will become a huge star, he is a big lad which Vince likes and is buddies with HHH and Orton. He's also pretty good in the ring and not too shabby on the mic; just needs time to build his character more.

Most looking forward to the MITB, triple threat and Edge vs Jericho

I can ;)

Out of the two scenario's one of them is repairable one of them isn't;

If Take looses and the streak goes then the past 17 odd years (more than that as Taker hasn't competed in every Mania) will have been more or less for nothing. Takers legacy has to be having never been beat at Mania

If HBK looses sure his career is over but until you get a match where the stipulation includes the word retire then HBK can easily have is customary 4 month break between Mania and Summerslam and brought back for the aforementioned summer event no questions asked

I'd put money my house on Taker winning

Same, also reports that HBK isnt being advertised for any events after WM ;)

Both HBK and Taker will both go missing after Mania like they always do, could be an interesting time for the wwe after Mania as there are reports that Trips is taking some time off as well

Maybe why they're turning Orton baby face?

Nice clip!

Ah the good old days of wrestling. Stone Cold was awesome. I still have my t-shirt of Steve Austin giving two fingers :)

Just realised that there are wrestling fans here. All these years I have been coming here and all I ever go to is PC and Console section. lol

What? lol ;)

That is kind of fail on your part

Agreed! lol. Just did not think there would be so many wrestling fans here I suppose, so I did not look. Anyway, glad to know I am not the only pc geek who likes wrestling here :D

I just watched last weeks TNA and oh my god what a load of rubbish!

Seriously this isn't me being a wwe fanboy but I really dont see what all the fuss is about, the ONLY cool part of the show was RVD's return but what did TNA do with it? Have him win a match in 30 seconds and then proceed to get beat up by rubbish bat shots by someone who is well past their sell by date for around 10 minutes.

People harp on about TNA's in ring product being better than the wwe's yet what I saw was some horrendously poorly timed moves by Hogan and Flair in TNA's mainevent and at TNA's upcoming ppv you've got AJ Styles v Abyss - that was a main event on a ppv when I first saw TNA 4/5 years ago. I watched Kurt Angle and to be honest his in ring promo bored me to tears and again it was the kind of promo he delivered 4/5 years ago when in the WWE, plus it's extremely hard to take him seriously as a baby face seeing as he's had more turns back and forth than possible any other current wrestler (and that's only thinking about his TNA stint!)

Along with AJ Styles TNA's most precious commodity is Christopher Daniels who for some reason is still stuck in the X-Division and Samoa Joe who wasn't even on the show.

Mr Kennedy/Anderson didn't show anything in his backstage promo to suggest that the wwe made a mistake in getting rid of him and not even Jeff Hardy's run in at the end (which made no sense fyi) did anything for me.

Honestly how any wrestling fan can look at the wwe's upcoming Wrestlemania card which includes Cena v Batista, Edge v Jericho, Taker v HBK, Orton v DiBiase v Rhodes, Triple H v Sheamus & Rey Mysterio v CM Punk and say that the quality of matches over on TNA is better is beyond belief IMO. Hell even in the stakes of old past it wrestlers (and I use that term as loosely as I can) the wwe has the edge giving us Bret Hart v Vince McMahon - now tell me who is not looking forward to seeing how that pans out and at the same time would not prefer to see that than Hogan v Flair?

the problem is they have so many guys there past their prime, who cant sell their hits, especially the weapon shots(which often look like the chairs are made of thin plastic) and it just looks bad half the time.

Camera angles help with making chair shots look more real. WWE is a great with their camera work and always show chair hits at the right angle.

If you ever see wrestling live, its almost laughable at how fake it really looks. They make it look so much more real when its on tv.

I'm going to see WWE Smackdown in september. This'll be my third time going to a wwe show. I really hope undertaker is there, he's really the only guy left in wwe that I want to see live.

I've seen the following big name wrestlers at live events

John Cena
Chris Benoit
Brock Lesner
Eddie Guerrero
Rey Mysterio
Big Show
Sandman
HBK
HHH
Ric Flair
Edge
Randy Orton
