Champagne Taste and Beer Money Syndrome ?

no they arent

they are two different words describing the same thing, but used in different contexts.

The generally accepted difference is that stocks refers to ownership certificates of multiple companies. Shares refer to ownership certificates of only one comapny.

A company's stock is divided into shares. People buy shares. Companies trade their stock on the stock market, in shares.

your missing the point.

I'm not saying you need 118k to run a noble. I'm saying you'd need 118k to run maybe run a maserati gran turismo, and then maybe a noble as well, and then say a TTs for the wife. And then have a nice house, and a family

Sure, if your willing to comprimise on the nice house bit, and not have a family / wife, i'm sure a noble is perfectly attainable. But thats not what my post is about.

I'm sure a few people on here have got plans to own supercars, but a lot of those saying it dont have a wife and kids. You'll find that your projected salaries wont pay for the supercar lifestyle, and a wife and kids and all the stuff that goes with it as well. The supercars and nice cars end up going.

Well, for all those apart from maybe the top 1% that can afford the lot....

I would never buy a supercar untill I was earning over £1mill a year.

That's a bit much isn't it? You saying you couldn't afford to buy and run a supercar on £500k?

Wrong end of the stick there Alex, I think he is means that not much us mere mortals drive can match the drivers experience of the Passat :D

@ Mr lol. See where you have gone now and you were on about supercars and a full on lifestyle as well. Not just affording + running a supercar and making many sacrifices or being in a less than normal situation.

I've always wanted to be absolutely loaded with lots of cars, and I seriously will not stop at anything to get to that point. I'm fed up of going through life like everyone else.. Get up, go to work, come home and all that. No thank you.

I will be utterly disappointed if I'm not a millionaire by the time I'm 30. I will actually deem my life a complete failure.

Just never say 'oh I will never be one' as you certainly never will be with a negative attitude like that. I guess what motivates me more to achieve it is that I hang around with some rich people and my girlfriend is stupidly rich. I'd love their lifestyle and that is what I'll hopefully have.

Easier said than done.

Unless you have a plan.

:D

No plan as of yet, but it's all about contacts really. My girlfriend's dad, as well as mine really, seems the right type of person to go to tbh, he knows no end of people it seems, and it's inevitable really that I'm going to run into help. He gets everyone together for big parties and stuff on his yacht. It's all fun. :p

I can't deal with having a negative attitude about it though, and I won't give up.

Well, maybe i meant hypercar, and assuming I am buying a new one.

For that you would need a nice house with heated garage and great security, a 2nd or even 3rd car, etc etc.

Depends how many years you have been earning £500k.

Invest in ring, place on girlfriends finger, bide ones time, do the dishes.
