Jedi Knight Wins Apology

This is totally ridiculous, Jedis are totally fictional characters whose inventor is still alive today to testify that there is no such thing as a Jedi religion.

This man is NOT a religious adherant he is a film fan plain and simple and should be treated as such.
Would you class Scientology as a religion?

Have you doubters not heard of Ron Hubbard then ?

I like it a I think it's a funny story, Shame the fella is such a ***** though.

Sikhs are always banging on about being allowed the carry an offensive weapon around with them.

No Sikhs are not always 'banging on about', it's written in law and has been perfectly fine during the entire history of Sikhs being in this country. No issues have come about using the Kirpan as an offensive weapon. I am a Sikh and if you have any questions I am happy to answer them, anything to cut down on ignorance is worth my time.

Scientology is legally a religion.

Although true it's creator a science fiction writer did die a while ago.

And they where responsible for the single largest infiltration of the US government in history :D

Please don't mock my religion, I find it offensive. I do not claim your religion to be false

Please don't mock my lack of religion, I find it offensive. I claim all your religions to be false and am greatly disturbed that people believe such pre-historic babble.

;)

This guy's the worst type of idiot however. He's also the exact type of idiot the PC brigade pander to on a regular basis. Firstly Jedi isn't a religion, secondly belief does not come from wanting to wear a hoodie. The world makes me mad at times.

I think they should have confiscated his lightsabre. Alternatively, surely he could have simply done the Jedi mind trick on them.

Please stop your hate. It's the fourth biggest belief in the country. It should be taught in school's so we can avoid these instances, children should understand the ways of the Jedi alongside Christianity, Judaism and the rest.

I hope Mr Jarvis takes the Jobcentre to the cleaners. I mean they have seriously breached his religious beliefs.

Is there anything in Islam which obligates women to wear a hijab, burka, niqab?

In some forms of Islam, yes. But not in the Koran. What's your point?

Why isn't it a religion?

Because nobody has ever turned it into one. It's just a form of extended roleplay amongst die-hard Star Wars fans. It is based upon an acknowledged work of fiction which never pretended to be anything but a work of fiction, containing fictional concepts which were never represented as anything but fictional.

LOL at the 'its not a real religion' comments, just far to many lolz to post to be honest. Because any religion is 'true'...of course, haha

"Real religion" means "it's actually a religion." It does not mean "what this religion teaches is true." Eg. saying that Buddhism is a real religion simply means that it's not a make-believe religion (ie. something you'd find in a work of fiction. Unlike Jediism).

As is Jediism IIRC.

Nope. Can you point me in the direction of any government which has officially recognised Jediism as a religion? The UK certainly hasn't.

As far as I can tell Scientology has totally lost its power after hubbard's death, I doubt it could do anything these days, all it's interested in is making money.

A shame, it was kinda fun :p
