Crossfire Fan Control Problem (2 X 5770s)

So I started to hear a low murmur sound coming from my case. Cracked it open and I discovered a totally different problem.
Fan control is not affecting my second crossfire card.
I recently updated to the latest Cats. Any ideas what could be going on?

I take it you mean CCC fan control. Works ok for me, sorry cant help, try 10.3a cats.

Well heres the thing.

I have the MSI Afterburner software installed, but I uninstalled it afterwards and tried to alter the fan speed from CCC and the same issue happens.
Now I know it was working with older cats, but for some reason now... the fan speed controller doesnt alter the second 5770 fan speed.

I could try the new Cats I suppose as the post above me suggests (cheers for that!). But any other ideas?

Riva Tuner is good for controlling the fan speeds.

This might sound silly but I take it you have ticked the box to allow manual control for both cards in CCC overdrive.

Yes rolypoly, otherwise I would not be able to hear the fan go bezerk when I set it to 100%.

It is truly bizzare I must say.

geoiry - Im sure it is, but I dont think its a problem with the software, either its hardware/bios or perhaps the driver? Not sure!

I thought the problem was you COULD NOT set the fan speed so how did you set it to 100%.

I.e. fan control DOES work, it alters one fan but not the other.

Ok mate, trying to help here. I refer to my earlier post, re ticking the boxes, which is why I wondered if you have ticked a box for each card and that you are not thinking one slider controls both cards.
