Actually it's more about the Incentive chips and making lots of Gill.
I know that's why you're doing it, but there's much quicker ways of making Gill too.

Please explain streeteh? As up until this point in the game i know of no easier way to get gil, Do the missions give you gil?
I think the Chocobo helps you find buried treasure that is worth more than Incentive Chips. Although (I think) the treasure placement is random so could take longer than you method, depending on luck. Please explain streeteh? Has anyone upgraded a weapon to Level 3 (Ultima) yet? Reading around I need to get a "Trapezohedron" to upgrade from Level 2 to Level 3. They cost either 2 million (I have 200k atm) or can be had by beating one of the most powerful enemies in the game. Neither sounds like fun. Anyone got any tips?

GATHERING TRAPEZOHEDRON
As you can tell by simply looking through the weapon list, you will need at
least 6 Trapezohedron to create 1 tier three weapon to each character. If you
were to buy these, you would be spending 12,000,000 gil. Considering the cost
of materials needed to upgrade weapons and accessories, the extra 12 million
is not a welcome sight. Here's how to bypass that cost:
The best time to do this is during post game. All you need is Vanille's Death
ability (available in the level nine crystarium). With this, you can easily
kill those huge Adamantoise creatures wandering around Gran Pulse. There is
also one in Leviathon Plaza in Eden. This is personally the best place to
farm, as there is a save point in the plaza next to the Adamantoise.
Now, to make this go as quickly as possible, give Vanille the Marlboro Wand
(Tier 2 of the Belladona Wand). Also, give here anything to boost her speed
(Hermes Sandals, Sprint Shoes, Whistlewind Scarf, Aurora Scarf, Nimbletoe
Boots).
Set up you party with Vanille as your lead, then a Sentinal and Medic. Your
Paradigm deck will be Attrition (SAB + SEN + MED).
Now, as soon as you enter battle with the Adamantoise, begin casting Death
with Vanille. This has a low probability of working, but keep at it. When the
creature dies, you will receive 40,000 CP, and you'll have a chance at
getting a Platinu Ingot (sells for 150,000 gil, 5% drop rate), or a
Trapezohedron (1% drop rate).
**Note that the Adamantoise are also a great way to farm money, and if come
back after obtaining the Growth Egg you will gain a decent ammount of CP
from the fights as well.
TRIPLICATING TRAPEZOHEDRON
Once you have one Trapezohedron, you can turn that one into three.
To do this, pick up a Mistilteinn, one of Vanille's weapons, buyable from
Plautus's Workshop for 11,000 gil. Along with this, you will need the
following materials:
159 Sturdy Bone \
89 Superconductor \ Total gil:
2 Particle Accelerator / 1,507,400 gil
28 Ultracompact Reactor /
1 Scarletite
1 Trapezohedron
Now, use the following items to upgrade the Mistilteinn in this exact
order (for best cost effectiveness)
36 x Sturdy Bone
50 x Superconductor
1 x Scarletite
36 x Sturdy Bone
2 x Ultracompact Reactor
15 x Sturdy Bone
27 x Superconductor
1 x Trapezohedron
36 x Sturdy Bone
26 x Ultracompact Reactor
36 x Sturdy Bone
2 x Particle Accelerator
12 x Superconductor
The weapon should now be a maxed out Nirvana. Once you dismantle this, you
will receive:
71 x Monstrous Fang
60 x Entrancing Tail
36 x Moonblossom Seed
10 x Tear of Woe
3 x Trapezohedron
Not tried this yet but reckon it should help,
im thinking of picking this up today. is there a superior version? xbox or ps3?
Do I have to kill the Adamantoise with Vanille's death ability, or can I just pwn them with my other characters with whatever I like? I can kill them pretty easily now that I've reached the 10th tier on the crystarium.

Any tips? I have level 10 for Fang/Light/Hope and I am sure last time I fought one it beat me really quickly. Normally 2 stomps of his leg and all my chars are dead. I would imagine equipping the Connoisseur Catalog would help, although I have not figured out how that and Collector's catalog work. Might be the person who strikes the final blow in the fight has to be wearing it to increase the drop rate of items, or anyone in the team.

I have accessories on that limit the amount of physical damage my guys take, that helps a lot.
I'm using a mixture of
COM/SAB/SYN
RAV/SAB/SYN (These two to start off with to buff/debuff, switching to the healing para below when needed)
RAV/COM/RAV
COM/COM/RAV (these two to finish it off quickly)
