5870 vs 5970 bad company 2

Have you played it in 1080p, 8xAA, 16xAF, HBAO on, VSync on and everything on High? It looks stunning!

I play it on 1080p, 16xAA, 16xAF, HBAO on vsync on and everything on highest on my 295's, it does look quite stunning. Extremely smooth. The graphics are probably as good if not better than crysis!

Everything on max, 8xTMSAA, 16xAF, 1920x1080 and the game runs very smoothly on my 5850. It is overclocked somewhat, but I'm pleased with the performance.

This game is terrible and should have been optimised somewhat before release ... even on my trifire 5870 setup it still does not look like real life! meh ... come on game coders get your act together, tis the 2010s don't ya know and I am really disappointed! I am gonna play more of that well optimised game half life 1 deathmatch cos that runs real smooth ....

I have a single 5870 and HBAO and AA are a major FPS dropper in this game, I presume it's due to ****ty porting never the less when there's an explosion and I'm using either AA, HBAO or both my FPS goes from around 60/70 to about 20-35FPS.

2x 5870 beast the game maxed at around a solid 80-120, I've seen a few videos on youtube so crossfire is the way to go in my opinion. Especially after the 26th when the price drops will kick in because of the GTX 480 release.

from my experience when i start getting realy into a game i turn all the eye candy off and go for max stable fps, itl be no different when i get BC2 next week, il be searching a no-effects cfg giving max fps as soon as i have it

lol you wont need any config with CF 5870s - I get 150-170 no probs at 1920x1200 DX11 with all ingame settings maxxed

Given crossfire scaling, I'd say 50fps would be a fair estimate for one card. I get that now with a 5770, but I have AA and HBAO off.

Only 50fps on a 5770? I bought a 5770 last week to upgrade from my 8800GT. I ran bad company 2 in 1680 x 1050 with HBAO off, 4xAA and 4xAF. Average is about 40fps

I best be able to play with HBAO on and AA, otherwise i have just spend £120 for nothing

Guys,

If you have Gpu-Z, Try running BF:BC2 and log the GPU usage ;)

For those that dont have or dont want to check. Gpu usage is on my rig 40%. Go figure.

This game is not optimised for GPU, its all about CPU at the Mo.

Dont beleive me? Try it.
