I ride 170 miles a week commuting. Incidents of note this week are:
Tuesday morning, riding up the bus lane on Shepherd's Bush rd and a woman in a Q7 pulls a meter into the road causing me to take evasive action.
Wednesday morning, same road (different junction) and a cab pulls out. I emergency stop. Driver mouths the words known to all cyclists; "Sorry mate, didn't see you."
Friday evening, Lower Richmond road, a white van pulls out of a junction on the right, turning right. Just pulls straight into my lane almost forcing me off the road.
Same thing happens when a Fiesta pulls out of Sunbury Lane in Walton on Thames as I cycle down Terrace Road later on the same ride. I also got cut up at the roundabout when a 207 left less than a foot clearance from my front wheel when I went round the roundabout and they went straight across.
Most drivers who don't cycle put cyclists at risk on a regular basis, they just don't realise.
