Piloting is easy, just wish they were more rewards for flying - you don't even get anything towards your kills for gold stars! Something like +20 points for avoiding a RPG/Dart (i.e. if was within 10-30ft) or placing the helicopter in such a location that it allows gunners to protect the MCOM from being defused.

The other day I piloted a Blackhawk from the first point on Isla and kept it up all the way to the finish, even took down their HIND twice. My mate got 16-0, we both then bailed over their base stole the HIND on 23% health and I got 13-0.

Best tactic is to slow down in key locations allowing a gunner to actually aim, then speed up after 2-3 seconds so you don't get hit.
 
I think my problem is that I'm too used to being a passenger. I tend to happily jump out and let the helicopter crash and burn without a second thought - which is bad for the team and anyone else stuck in the flying death trap with me :)
 
Had some good games tonight, collected about 30 dog tags after going on a knifey spree. Was good fun until Frenchy tried to ruin it and took mine, still got his about 2mins after that :D

Think I got you twice more after that, so got you 3 times last night :) Think i got Hazards as well, I'm going to make it my mission to collect as many OcUK tags as possible :)

Also, that team change was pretty funny! Change teams, Now! or else. Leaving your team with about 6 players. lol

Indeed, its a pain when the pilot just keeps going full speed round in circles. Enemies can predict where you'll be for RPG and Tracers and your gunner spends all his damn time adjusting for the chopper movement and can never hit anything.

I see his point. Rush games can turn into horrible stalemates very quickly if the defenders destroy cover effectively, or vice versa if the attackers destroy cover around MCOMs to block defusing.

I know this is realistic blah blah, but it can get tedious. Defending the 3rd set of MCOMs on the map with the lighthouse is horrible as it's just raised wooden huts that get smashed to pieces in seconds.

Heli's in this are pretty crap as they are anyway, they literally just dangle in the air, doesn't matter how high you go you always seem to autolevel and drop altitude making you a sitting duck. Its a joke how slow and laboured the movement for them is.
 
Yeah, if you want to win on Rush when you're defending, just destroy the cover as quickly as possible - it becomes impossible for the attackers, plus now everyone has unlocks vehicles are a joke, pretty amusing to see tanks etc hiding around corners terrified of even edging out for the barrage of mortars and missiles it will receive.

Agreed, it seems like they went all out for unlock bragging rights and didn;t seem to realise how the vehicle combat would suffer. Tanks in this might as well be mobile coffins as they never seem to last any significant amount of time. Maps are just far too bottlenecked and this suits infantry well for dispatching tanks.

Changes:
• Server browser downloads 100 entries instead of 500 in a chunk – this makes the “Cancel” button more responsive
• Fixed crash during server browser refresh
• Low-level networking library switched back to the optimized version (the game client was temporarily running with one that had more debugging logic in it)
• Localization fixes in the scoreboard


Still no mouse acceleration fix :(
 
There was a mouse acceleration fix posted on the EAUK forums.

I posted it here as well but you'd think it would be fixed by dice by now. Ideally each vehicle should have seperate sensitivity settings ingame, instead of messing aobut with input cfg files.
