Really good actually - very smooth and quick to change. Havent played with manual mode much but it seems to do the job well

I did, yes.
I did an mpg comparison for the drive there and back - 48mpg in the Mondeo, 36mpg in the Saab
Looks to be a nice example, friend of mine had the 2.0T version and got bored of it very quickly though, got a z4 3.0 instead
It's a nice cruiser but it's not particularly sporty.
Good cruising and a bit of poke is what I want, not sporty - so shouldnt be getting bored too quickly

That actually doesn't look that bad at all, well from the outside they don't anyway 
The interior of ones with cream on black colour combination looks the best IMO, that combo draws attention away from the flat wall of a dash and adds some much needed warmth as well because the windows are slightly blue tinted all round (well the ones that I saw were anyway).
The leather dash bit looks real nice, do it!
Also get some genuine floor mats as soon as possible.
Finally, Magic Eraser Pad the steering wheel to restore the original matte look and feel.
Only major bummer imo is the worn look on the seats but it's a Saab....I guess ¬_¬
