Richad Hammond's Invisible Worlds

I thought so: their horrible style is easy to spot, and it crushes everything it comes in contact with. I date the complete destruction of Horizon as a program worth watching from when they started doing Discovery Channel co-productions. Anything made by Discovery, or made with them, is a lost cause.

Good photography ruined by an inane commentary from an intrusive presenter. They should either tell us stuff, or just STFU and show us the videos without explanation; not this mid-point where the commentary is as useful as the average sports commentary. I didn't notice: would this by any chance be a co-production with the Discovery Channel?

Yep, a good presenter and a bit more detail into the science would have been excellent.

I liked it, but it really was drawn out.

Did we really need to see 7 shots of the same thing, from different angles? :o

Was good in HD, but I can't help feeling it was designed around 30 minute shows and some big wig at the BBC decided to stretch it out and chuck in Hammond "because he's cool".

I liked it, the score was pretty decent in places. I don't mind Hammond as a presenter, but like May I don't always find him that interesting. He's very much more a presenter rather than somebody who convinced us he knew what he was talking about.

I think that's a slight homage towards Top Gear lol.

Just watched on iPlayer. Wanted to hit him every time he said "high speed cameras" - must've been about 50 times and I'm pretty sure I got the point after the first.

Really dislike Hammond as a presenter too.

Really liked this but tbh I prefer James May as a presenter, Hammond is reasonable but he's better with the light hearted stuff imo

Surely that "Corona Camera" is complete bs. It looks like the worst CGI effect i've seen in 10 years. And it just gets overlaid on the same normal camera from the same angle!

I found tonights program thoroughly dubias at best. Some of the things hammond came out with really strained my "cringe gland" (thank you omid for this phrase) due to complete and utter nonsense that came out of his mouth.

Tonights program looked like it wasn't planned at all as the "commentary" and "explanations" to the subject matter tonight was stating the pure obvious and amazingly repetative.

We don't need to be told that "amazing advancements in video equipment make this possible" as it starts to sound like a sales pitch after a while.

Compared to the discovery channel documentary's, this is left standing in my opinion.

Couldnt agree more.

I thought tonights episode was utter garbage to be honest, the presenter, the content and the photography were all very boring and done in a very dumbed down way.

I hope the last episode really picks up.

Left had side at the bottom there are some vidoes you can download of the cameras in action.

Not complete bs at all.

But the problem is that it looked fake!

Maybe its just my lack of imagination but to me this was a bit like those hubble space photos that you see that have been doctored with false colour to be more attractive....i just have a very hard time believing them.

I think it was the simple fact that it looked like a special effect from Lost in space from the 1960's

Last night's wasn't as entertaining really. They showed more footage of the body of the "supreme athlete" in the vest than they showed x-ray footage.
