GTX480 £429.99 GTX470 £339.99

I thought prices have been released.

$349 and $499 MSRP.

That's a pretty big gap between the 2 and so definitely more than the £90 the OP suggests.

My guess is supply will be very tight and retailers won't be making the mistake of letting initial stock go for close to the MSRP as they did with HD 58xx cards (went for £200 and £300 respectively which was the exchange rate conversion + VAT roughly).

£277 and £396 are the simple exchange rate conversion with 17.5% VAT for $349 and $499 atm.

Therefore, I think the actual prices on release will be £350-380 and £500. Then as everyone realises that performance isn't what its cracked upto be, retail prices fall within weeks as supply increases, towards the above conversion prices. Settling perhaps 20% above AMD prices.

I said about two weeks ago they would be £299.99 and £399.99

I am still sticking with this.

Seems about right, wouldn't surprise me if retailers slap on more price for the 480 and up it to around £420 though

I have a feeling they've done a simple conversion like in my post. I don't think nvidia release a RRP/MSRP other than in dollars.

470 will be just below 5870 pricing and 480 will be £100 more. This will be the case for big etailers who do not price guage. Availability is another question.

If they'll buy it, we'll sell it. - OcUK "It's just business" :p

Reckon the XFX will be the one to look out for as its not going by the reference design last I heard

I think everyone will be in for a surprise, and no, that doesn't mean i know anything.

They're going to be expensive.. very expensive.

Every other Nvidia card has always been more expensive than the competition irrespective of performance vs price.

If they are that price then that's an instant fail imho. An extra 100 quid over the 5850. Ive been waiting 3 months to buy a new card for this very day... baby jesus please comfort me in my hour of need.
