are you sure this is for the vertex LE and not just for the standard vertex range?
like i said im running mine straight outta the box @ 286/272 with no issues, if the firmware is for this card then it aint gonna increase speeds unless part of the install includes a dude comming round my house and re-fitting it with a sata3 interface :p

if its working with no issues whatsoever then don't bother. If you notice something off a month or 2 later do a benchmark and if you're current firmware is causing the slowdown (lack of TRIM or GC) then look into firmware updates. Otherwise I really wouldnt bother
 
I must be doing something wrong cos my speeds are something like 200 read 130 write...

What software are you guys using to test the read/writes?
 
Those are the correct speeds for AS benchmark it has something to do with the way the sandforce drives compress the data. Use ATTO instead you will see the true read write speeds :)
