over the last 2-3 weeks I seem to be seeing a lot of repeats on channel 4.. but not repeating stuff from 6 months to a year ago.. but from only 3-4 weeks ago!!..

its mostly noticeable at 6pm with the Simpsons.. now I believe there's at least 20 seasons to chose episodes from, and 20 odd episodes per season!!, but I've now seen the same 10 episodes repeated again and again!... so I shift over to More 4 at 6:30, and lo and behold they seem to be repeating the same episodes of Location Location!!...

There are other programs repeated.. but these are the more noticeable!!

Its getting almost as bad as ITV showing tonnes or reality TV one after another!!...

I know we don't pay for the 'Advertising' channels.. but its starting to take the pee!!..

anyone else getting peeved at this??...

Money is being pumped into these **** Dancing On XFactor Strictly Grounded For Talent shows. :(

IT Crowd Series 4 has started filming though. :)

They need more Comedies.

Black Books, Ali G, Spaced, Green Wing... where did all that talent go?

I often say this but I don't think enough money is put into comedies, I watched a comedy the other day called lizzie and sarah, it was a pilot and thought it was really funny and would watch it if they made a series, but they wont most likely.

TV has gone down the pan, and as said the money is going on simon cowells 2 story trailer, I seriously hope they stop these rubbish "x factor, dancing on ice" crap and invest in something that will make money after it's finished.

Channel 4 is easily the best terrestrial channel in my opinion. Shows like Dispatches, Cutting Edge etc. just wouldn't get shown anywhere else. It's also got the best nightly news show.

I guess it depends what you watch TV for...

Personally, I've been finding that all the Channel 5 channels (Fiver, FiveUSA etc) much better than what ITV, BBC and Channel 4 have been putting on these days in terms of new shows and movies to watch, but that's just me. :)

Channel 5 is way under-rated, they have come along way, I enjoy a lot of programmes on there channels :)

Not enough comedy is shown on TV these days for my liking. When do you ever see sitcoms or standup on BBC1 or 2 anymore? Only Live At The Apollo caters for ths. Any other comedy comes in the form of panel shows.

Comedy is always thrust onto channels like BBC Three where it rarely gets enough exposure to warrant continuation.

Channel 5 is keeping afloat because of the amount of US stuff it is showing, which is where the quality is at.

C4 had some decent homegrown comedy 2-3 years ago but they seem to be in a drought at the moment.

I heard BBC2 is working on a new comedy with Matt Le Blanc, they are obviously working with a US broadcaster aswell because otherwise it would fail! (could be interesting)

ITV is making it's own stand-up show with Jason Manford as the host. Or at least that's what he said. It was only a pilot at that time so I'm not sure if it was given the go ahead.

Channel 4 is a publicly owned station which was recently bailed out by a 6-year, £14 million government grant. So technically, you do pay for it.

Channel 4 has lost it's hard hitting content nature lately. I can't even say I have watched anything this year which is on CH4.. apart from deal or no deal (lol)

You didn't see Air Hospital then? Brilliant documentary about a C17 that flies back and forth to Afghanistan ferrying wounded British soldiers back home.

Yep.. I think Five/FiveUSA and sometimes Fiver are the most watched channels in my household (CSI-XXX, NCIS, Numbers etc...) all the other channels (terrestrial) have just lost it with repeats.. repeats.. repeats.. and reality TV up the yin yang!!..

Dave is another channel that I watch a lot (Top Gear , Mock the Week, Qi etc...) I know they're repeats, but at least from at least a year ago.. not a month ago!! :p

TV schedules at the mo are crap!!..

Although Friday's at 9pm might be a little better from this Friday!.. for at least 8 weeks!! :)

It has come a long way and is underrated by many. C4 is almost never watched here and BBC/ITV are slowly turning into repeat heaven. When it’s not repeats they just show endless hours of dross with the odd good program thrown in here and there. I would hate to rely on TV as my primary source of entertainment.

dross is the word.

i had the unfortunate displeasure of tuning in to see something horrendous called:

'the life of Reilly'

its like they have a formula...the 2.4 children kind of formula. do they make these programmes just to keep ugly, slightly overweight middle aged women in jobs?!

and like how many times can they show the pierce brosnan james pongs? its getting a bit stale now BBC/ITV!!!
