All I can say is never a lease hold ever again!
£12k is 5 years - unlucky me. Now residing in a detached freehold property - phew.

Or just sky everything
£85/month for full HD + phone + up to 20mb ADSL if you can get it - mine maxes out happily at 11mb and never had any issues with it![]()
Don't you also need a BT line so you have to add rental onto that? Silly amount of money imo.

No you pay Sky the rental - and the £85 inc ESPN - expesnvie yes but Virgin don't offer half the HD stuff Sky do imo![]()
it is a bit steep, but I've seen service charges over 2k p/aOuch if that is the case!
We've just bought a new build in Zone 4 London, and ground rent is £250 p/a and service charge £1,005 p/a.
A fee which there are usually numerous ways around.BT usually charge a one off fee (£125?) to switch on a phone line for the first time regardless of whether they have already physically connected it.
You have a mortgage so surely you need life insurance too.
Brokers will usually try and convince you that you do.Why have you made that connection, i have never, ever heard of a mortgage company requiring life insurance.![]()
What the best website to find out what the best providers are for ADSL will be and how far from the exchange I will be?
Either BE / Sky imo if you are with O2 or Sky should be able to get a package deal of some kind?
You may want mortgage payment protection.
most mortgage payment protection schemes are pretty terrible, and riddled with loopholes. There are much better ways to protect yourself in those situations. Even my broker advised against itYes, or become ill and unable to work etc
