:)

Bank holiday weekend so most standard orders should be delivered tomorrow if I'm not mistaken. That's if you placed the order on Thursday since Friday and Monday are bank holidays in the UK.

Worst weekend to order gadgets I might add, how can you wait so long after pressing order! :p

Does TRIM fully work on RAID then? I was reading the opposite on some other forum yesterday.

It will work on a RAID enabled controller, but not on 2 or more SSD's in a RAID.

e.g. if someone had 2 mechanical HDD's RAIDed and an SSD on the same controller the SSD would still get the TRIM commands.

lol you nutter!! my plan is what you use yours for msn, adobe suite, office etc and install files on my 500gb (later to raid 0) and keep my 2TB drives for work, movies, music etc.

do you know what roughly your start up speed is? and what windows do you use? 7?

im using windows 7 and an intel x25-v 40gb
i timed the start up at 23 seconds. thats from pressing the power button until the computer is usable in windows

11 seconds were the bios booting, leaving 12 seconds for the windows boot.

IF u wanna know ur boot up time this is a good tool Boot timer http://www.planetsoft.org/

Using that it comes back for me as 21.5secs to boot up windows7 64bit on an intel X25-V and is totally ready to use after that time.

Compared to my old instal, on a samsung F1, boot up was timed at 37 secs, but still had to wait like another 10 secs till fully useable.
