Just before Duke Nukem Forever.
Was thinking exactly the same thing when opening this thread.
Just before Duke Nukem Forever.
I've had 360's since launch and forza 1 & 2 were garbage, I won't be spending another penny on that game. Why don't you do yourself a favour and buy a 360 and Forza 3 in the mean time? It's a great game and a good way to get your petrolhead fix whilst you wait for GT5![]()
I do.PS3 != xbox, they aren't guaranteed to break. Infact, I don't know of anyone (personally) that has had a ps3 die on them![]()
I've had 360's since launch and forza 1 & 2 were garbage, I won't be spending another penny on that game.
And..?Forza 1 wasn't on the 360, it was only on the original Xbox.
And..?
The other Forza's bored me to death - cardinal sin of gaming - after a couple of hours there was just nothing to make me want to ever play them again. Boring and just didn't feel right.
I've not played GT since the original PSX and they were a lot of fun. Never played on a PS2 as I bought an XBox instead and felt very let down by the dull Forza, one of my only regrets was GT wasn't on XBox.
I think gaming has gone stale. So many games now just feel rushed and almost as if the money men get more of a say in games than gamers. At least thats how it feels. Imagine if more games had the time and effort put into them that GT5 obviously has?
Now if someone can release 2 versions of a game, eg, Forza 2 & 3 (is there another being made that might be here around the time GT5 hits the stores?) in the time it's taken them to release GT5 then something tells me this has been polished and might be worth waiting for? As opposed to yet another rushed out attempt to make a few quid.
GT and Forza are the same game, get crap car, win races, mod it, get new car, win more races, mod car, win more races get another car mod car.
Thats it
Exactly.
I can't see how you can like one and not the other. Rose tinted specs I think. Unless you have a thing for jazz piano.
Video has been removed - anyone got alternative links?
that looks epic, glad i've pre-ordered the game. It defo worth the wait.
Probably like how some will say the handling is brillant in one and terrible in the other. They dont try to adjust and accept that both are just different in many ways.
I'll put up with the crappy music in exhange for fully working and actually finished cockpits. FM3 has many bugs actually and short commings I pointed out many months before its release as a sim. You can read on their own forums regards some of those now as well in how little it improved over FM2 and how the whole damage and tyre physics was sugar candy PR. Even evidence of the T10 mods removing member comments of people with geniune complaints are not a nice thing to read about. Yet their insistance to continue with DLC over bugfixes/updates.
Im not dissing the game here but in how it was marketed did it live upto its DG Hype? You all can read this report and its got the usual backlash and witty comments but is an entertaining read and think he has some genuine remarks made.
FM3 What Went Wrong?
It was a fanboy rant, 100% definate. But I'm talking about a racing simulator fanboy. And I'm sorry but a lot of what was said stands up. Read it, dont skim it.
2000 playing the game, when 2 million copies were sold 4 months before the stats were taken!
And saying this isnt COD its a racing game. I dont get your meaning, the numbers still speak, regardless of genre.
His comments about the review scores were right, The review scores were given by gamers, not car simulation people. Hense the scores dont reflect the games realism. Only it's enjoyability which is fair enough, No doubt the same will happen on GT5's release.
Most hardcore simulation gamers like realism, Thats a car games selling point to them. Thats why out of 2 million copies sold, that article claims its lost most of its fanbase due to the fact the realism and simulation doesnt hold up to their standards!
The question is, When GT5 scores its high scores with reviewers, Will it's fanbase stay longer than Forzas, Will the technical and simulation aspects quench the thirst of the Pro Simulation Fanboys
