Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not about to say that any councils have a clue what they are doing.
In this instance though, I think they'd be correct to issue the ticket.

Maybe it's just me, but when I'm driving, I don't just stop where-ever I feel like to send some messages.
Yellow lines are usually there for a reason.

SLDC don't need to stick anything to your car. They post them if the car drives off.
