Lian Li X900

No worries really they are pretty pointless anyway if you ask me rather they scrap them and put the money saved in to a superior hard drive solution.
Tbf though, the current hdd mounting system is pretty good, the drives slide into the rails on anti vibration rubber grommits, no problems with vibrations. Ive even tried a raptor drive in them and been impressed. On my eclipse 62 i gave up using raided raptors due to the noise/vibrations they caused.

I really like the TYR series, its just a shame they are so damn expensive. ;(

As nice as they are why spend that much when you could get a TJ-07 and half a water loop for the same price?

If they change anything from A70/71FB mounting that will just break one thing or another.
Mounting was acoustically good already in original A70/71 but this system with grommets in slots behind locking bar is also mechanically secure against turning case literally upside down.

Hotswap backplanes require tighter mounting for positioning drive correctly without causing stress to connectors (which are now lot weaker than old Molex and PATA connector) making more noise and offering way for vibration to get forward.
Same for these overhyped plastic HDD trays. I once read user complaining about Raptors being noisy in Coolermaster's plastic trays whose rubber grommets are supposed to prevent that...

Yep, it's a good system on the A70/71F, mine are reverse mounted so the cables can be hidden, though this means i cant close the locking mechanism. Not a concern as the rubber grommits prevent the drives from moving due to the snug fit. As for the raptors, theyre now in vantec vortex 5.25 bay units in another eclipse based rig i have, much quieter than being screwed directly to the chassis.

looks like the release is imminent and what with OCUK now stocking more of their parts I am sure they will offer it. However from their pr on the case

no chance of fitting a radiator in the front with a decent length card like the 5870 though! I toyed with the idea of getting the x1000 but then couldnt ignore the limitations of the lack of space so went with the a71f in the end, its massive!
