Windows live messenger although not part of the OS is full of it. It's been a while since I've used windows, but isn't msn.com set as the default homepage for internet explorer or has that changed?
Also the xbox, the adverts are in the OS and on xbox live despite the £40/year fee.

My messenger has no adverts, and homepage - LOL is that all you've got.

I have to admit, it would be good to be able to remove the weather app and things (I use Fizz).

Just put it all in a folder called 'DIE' and stick it on app-page 30 or what ever.

No I agree with you, the apps on the main screen that you can't get rid of are a nuisance, I bet they end up unable to be placed in folders

Not a bad event. Folders is definitely a very basic but good feature to have, tired of scrolling through pages.
