My Q button works but no one notices so i have stopped using it :(

But with so many snipers that shouldn't be a problem but they seem to have lost their ability to use it, so until they do no ammo from me or health or revives they can do one :p
 
Found a nice way of getting some good kill/death ratios. You just need to be playing a load of idiots.

Found a sniper camped in Panama canal, was just about to take his head off when his team mate spawned on him, was a medic so I quickly changed target and killed the medic. Then another team member spawned on him, so again I shot the team member leaving the sniper happily taking pot shots through his scope, totally oblivious to his mates dying when spawning on him.
14 kills in just over a minute, had I not got hit by a fluke Gustav I'm quite sure I could have done the same thing all match.. are some people really that thick?!?!

Played a fair few rounds last night on the OcUK server right up till almost 1am, I was <Hazy> for those that where on last night picked up a few tags only one I can remember where UV's.

I normally play recon but got all the unlocks so moved on to assault last night and was surprised that a lot of people who play recon don't use the motion sensors, found my self defending a mcon or taking a flag not knowing if whole squads where sneaking up on me. Can't wait till i can unlock a decent close quarter gun I can use for recon.

I assume there would be no problem with me using the OcUK clan tag from now on.

Agreed. Motion sensors rock :)

I end up just using shotgun when I'm recon usually. I can't stand most of the rifles.

/re the tags - anyone can use them tbh. OcUK isn't a clan :)
 
FYI for everyone:

I've put R9 back on the OcUK Server, along with some supposed "fixes" (admins: check out phogue's website if you're interested, though it's not that interesting). Let me know how it goes...

As some of you maybe aware, DICE have caused a little issue with the latest server release. R9 has disabled the vars commands in the startup.txt file.

Well here is a workaround for anyone who wants it. This will allow you to run hardcore or with mini maps off etc.

1 – Go to your control panel and follow this path: User Home > Game Servers > BC2 Server X Slots >
2 – Then find and click on “Default Config Files”
3 – Find “pbsv.cfg” and click the “edit” button to the right.
4 – if it is empty, just add this line “pb_sv_load pbsvuser.cfg” (without the quote marks) and then click “save” If there is text there because of PBBans then go to the end and make the last line “pb_sv_load pbsvuser.cfg” (without the quote marks) and then click “save”

5 – Go back to “Default Config Files” click on it………… and find “pbsvuser.cfg”, click “edit” button to the right.
6 – Now copy and paste the text below (change the true or false settings as needed to your liking):

pb_sv_task 10 -1 vars.punkBuster true
pb_sv_task 12 -1 vars.hardCore true
pb_sv_task 14 -1 vars.friendlyFire true
pb_sv_task 16 -1 vars.killCam false

7 – click “save” and restart your server. The settings you saved above will set-up on your server after about 30 seconds after the server has restarted. This is shown in the numbering sequence after pb_sv_task. For example the number you see last ‘28′ means the server will wait 28 seconds after restart before applying ‘restartMap’

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE PBBans “Write confiig” after you did this work around, you will have to do it all over again because your pbsv.cfg is written over.

You mean that FT ? or something else ? What were your reasons for returning to R9, stability ?
 
Public servers are very annoying, I was playing late last night just to get another rank before bed and it was quite impossible especially when 3/4 of your team hanging back on hills/between trees sniping.

You know it's bad when the only person in your chopper is you ¬_¬


or maybe that's my flying skills..... :p

I don't have any decent shotty unlocks yet I think i have the first 2 which are Ok but i find that they are either to slow or a bit light on damage, a few more ranks and it should be good.

Well i thought i'd check first, don't want to be presumptuous.
 
Anyone noticed the way people play this game has changed?

As people have played and ranked up the game has turned into a 40mm/Gustav spam, swear not many bullets get fired any more.

Seeing people with 9 stars on the Gustav etc.

Shame really....

That's the fix, yeah.

PRoCon support was the main reason to be honest. I re-setup an old version of PRoCon but it didn't work perfectly.

If it's still problematic tonight I'll go back to R8 again :)
