Great game.... but its console origins are a little annoying... i.e, matchmaking.

I'm talking about the fact that the higher level you are the more points you can earn because you are more survivable, have better guns, and can help your team out with the unlocks. I assume this isn't an issue with the consoles as i guess they use a matchmaking system to put people of similar levels together. but on pc you just jump into servers and get a mix mash of all sorts of levels. And in this situation this leveling system is infuriating . Choosing a medic when you first start out.... you cant heal anyone, you cant revive anyone, and you get given a gun that would be more effective if you took the bullets out and threw them at the enemy. How the hell are you mean to unlock stuff when you cant actually do anything other than storm in and hope for some lucky knife kills!?

Anyone else who has just started playing noticed this slight inequality on the PC?

TBH it seems no different to how BF2 was. For some reason i've been lucky as i had medpack and defib to start with even on level 1 lol

My tip for everyone is to pick your squad well, pick one with the highest levels as they tend to know what they are doing. It took me about a week (6 hours game time) until I properly started to enjoy the game, now i love it even if my kd ratio is still less than .5 lol

Level means nothing, high level means more play time not necessarily that they know what they are doing.

I'm mean take FT for example he's always getting lost and ending up in the enemies no cap :p

Lol :p

Normally the 5 snipers camping in the base make my knife twitchy and I have to head over :)

To be honest, I spent a lot of my games typing admin commands/alt-tabbing to check PRoCon/etc. I'd suck slightly less otherwise, honest :p

me and ft faced off the other day in a knife fight, and i think we both pressed the knife button at the same time cos we went flying past each other. then he shot me with a shotgun... the noob

dont worry dude the matchmaking crap is on the consoles as well. i've played on my mates PS3 and it does annoy me when i get killed by level 30s with M60s and uber kit.

Gotta say the new ati drivers are now amazing at loading time, I smoke and used to be able to roll a cig in between rounds, now I dont get chance to open my tin lol.

Went on TFU server earlier, glad I didnt get a ban last night after my epic fail of taking out four team members, thanks thegoon for the reply, as I wasnt sure if I'd be welcome back.

Heading onto the nM-No mercy server to try and give it a hand starting up if anyone wants to join.

I've found the trick is to stick one in OHSOOBVIOUS positioning, then one, slightly to the right, in the bushes.

Mr tank comes along, sees said mine in OHSOOBVIOUS place and turns to the bushes to go around it, whoops, he blew up.

You have very high opinions of the average tank driver :p for the most part i'm sure my AT Mines get destroyed by random people that spot them or by accident, never by the vehicle. Normally i just see them drive straight into them.

On the TFU server while it was nearly empty (4 players total) i destroyed an APC with the same guy in it using AT Mines in the same piece of road no less than 3 times. He never learnt...
