nah I'm not even looking at them till the clients are out for folding@home, the GPU blocks are available and the results are in whether they are going to do better or worse than a GTX295
Hmmm i am looking at these 480's from a folding angle as well as crunching so your going to stick with your gtx295's for now? I am trying to digest as much info as i can, weighing up the pro's and cons of heat and noise versus price and potential output, this is seriously mind boggling stuff, but at the end of the day i just want to climb as much as i can so it may be in a few years or less i match your seti stats.
If you come across any hard reviews on output etc wether it be folding or seti would you mind passing me a link....all i can seem to find at the moment are dubious looking bar graphs that dont seem to ring true...Cheers
Cheers for that Mr Halz sah will put it right in a bit once i wake up properly....am a bit puzzled at the minute as to why the 2 285's have been up and running for 24 hours and my average for that machine is only 8000 grrrr. The sig was probably something i did wrong will see....have a good one
