Not sure what to think about this, really. The country has a huge population and it makes sense to have some sort of policy, perhaps free or subsidised contraception, but forced sterilisation?
Going by the article, I'm guessing that the people in question actually want more children though, rather than there being inadvertent pregnancies.
One thing's for sure - I wouldn't mind seeing it introduced on a few council estates near me. Fed up of subsidising lazy-arse sponger lifestyles...
Who would trust the Govt. to do stuff to their bodies, though, they'd probably end up taking organs to pay their second mortgages...
