Been on TFU (Normal) for most of the evening, still getting used to the game and how it plays, got slashed by goon a few time :)

Fixed my disconnections which is great so uninterrupted play is just what I needed :D

Away this weekend golfing so no fix until next week! But lots of fresh air instead!!
 
Its weird really . Server browser shows 15 ping .. In game ping is 120-150 . Set rates to 140 and it seems better but no idea why i would be pinging a uk server at 150ish

I ran a tracert to multiplay.co.uk and shows 99ms to my router :/ but 23ms to the server ...and a straight ping command from console is 23 ms .. so i dont really know what the hell is going on .

Well thought I'd put my 2 cents of the multiplayer in.

I think I can say, I'm not a fan. Getting slammed by sniper M60's, mortar strikes coming out of my ass, random grenades in my face and and random beeps and sounds which I'm trying to decipher if they mean anything.

The maps may be large, but you hardly ever utilize the size. There's generally one or two ways to reach a place and usually guarded by some m60 sniper or pistol sniper.

Oh well I probably just suck. I'll keep on playing just incase I'm missing something or suddenly see the light!

Ignore the router ping. They are set to give icmp very low priority so you can safely ignore the high first hop through the router.

AFAIK - the in game ping is a round trip result not a standard ping result, as such even if you ping quite low to the server in reality the in game ping will always be higher.

You need to find a decent game my friend, it really sucks when you're in a team getting hardcore owned and dieing every few seconds. I normally play on Conquest as opposed to Rush, because in Conquest you get more of a free range of running about, no forced attack or defend. As such the game feels a bit more open ended.

So I would say to give Conquest a go and see how you get on. Also best played with people you know (either online or in real life). We use vent a lot and have a squad or so of us playing at the same time, much more interesting! You can cover eachother, point out enemy positions etc, run about and capture objectives, so on so forth.

Maybe this will be of interest to some solo players looking for a nice group to play with in BF:BC2 plus others and in games you could bring to the eVinco Community.

aaahaha! Yeah i was being very very sneaky!! i was creaping up behind every1 and knifing them haah! Sorry man!

Last time I was in a gaming community, it ended pretty badly. I had some lulz, though. :D
 
Ok the biggest issue for me is actually seeing people. Do you get better radar/scopes as you level up?

And lvling recon is the worst for me..
 
You get better zoom scopes and red dots. Recon gets a spotting scope aswell, not got it yet so not sure how useful it is.

Most of the time I just mash Q and hope to spot someone it the area ;)
