Icelandic Volcanic Eruption - Significant Disruption to UK Flights

I'm starting to hear the distant rumble of aircraft again in North London.

Two contrails of aircraft having headed west, then towards the centre of the image two more heading this way.

well yeah, but i've not seen the news mention the volcano once almost as if its gone to sleep again :p

Really? Well essentially it has...

The eruption has quietened down slightly and is now extruding lava instead of a huge plume of ash...

So less ash in the air means... less ash over Europe and... flights can continue...
