Im using the phone a hell of a lot all day and getting around 11 hours out of a charge and i think its slowly increasing day by day.. hopefully it will carry on getting better!

Mine has continued to get better every day. Had nearly 70% left yesterday after a day of minimal to light use.

If there is one thing that bothers me is that the on screen keyboard isn't as good as the default one on the Magic. I make more mistakes on this one. Anyone know how to switch it back?

Just wondering, is anyone having issues with their Desire and it randomly losing all connectivity? I know it's not the cell coverage where I am when it happens as I have a crackerberry on Vodafone too which is connected when my Desire dies.

Do you know if it's unlocked to other networks?

As a rule CPW simply buy a pile of unlocked phones and then simply sell them with the SIM depending on which network you choose.
But this is only "as a rule" and not 100% certain.

I think Google are probably a bit upset at the Desire's popularity, especially in markets where it's been released before the Nexus. Their fault I suppose.

My Desire arrived from MPD on T-Mobile on Monday. It's charging as I type!

Is there a clver way to copy and paste a WiFi password into the configuration? Can I send a .txt either via Bluetooth or save down the datacable, and get the key from there?

I don't fancy typing it out on a software keyboard :(

I used to send myself an email on the iphone then cut/paste from the email!

I've now ordered the Desire on PAYG as I have an existing contract and will just sell my iphone if I like it. The app store issues have me worried, but I'm hoping they get it sorted. Loads of people with the problem here - http://www.google.co.uk/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=72687bc93eba9a1b&hl=en

Sometimes I pick the phone up and it has zero signal, turn it off/on and I have signal and 3g back..

Might phone up and see if this means a handset change :)

Google navigation...

Yes I posted this yesterday. And yes it works fine on my Desire.

Ideal, turns out my phone just needed a reboot! I don't think this phone can get any better! Only thing is...I wonder how long the 500mb internet with orange is going to last when using sat nav?! It would be good if their 'fair use' was just a guide, and didnt charge you as soon as you go over the allowance.

Going to get this from CPW later today...have a quick question. I'm going to stick my existing O2 sim in it. I can buy a PAYG Orange phone for £410, or buy it sim free for £450. Is there any good reason for me to buy the sim free version? From what I've read CPW are selling it unlocked anyway, so what's the difference?
(Obviously the most sensible thing to do would be to buy it sim free online for even cheaper, but I'm stupid like that)

well I got mine from cpw end of march(30th) on orange payg, didn't have to pay the extra £10 for the sim and topup as I already have orange payg and he just 'upgraded' it for me. The guy said that they were officially going to be laumching it the following day
