E46 owners have you removed your swirl flaps yet?

I'm having mine done at the end of the month..I'm reaching 100K so for peace of mind I might as well get it done for £125....

My old man removed them from his 330CD and a few were in really bad condition, not far from failing! :eek:

Dad's E60 doesn't have them, but I'd have removed them the day we got it if it did have them! Got a friend with an E46 that had them fail

I thought he had a brand new 520d? Why would you remove the swirl flaps when it was under warranty?

Yeah that's what he's got, I'd have removed them because on any of the cars with them it's a ticking time bomb!

But it doesn't bother his as they'd changed the design by then.
