Deer me

Never had a 116i from service, had one from bodycentre though. 'Worst' BMW I've had from service was a 318d.

Service has a much higher turnover and variety of loan cars IME, I've even had X Series loan cars

I had a 116 the last time that I took a car in for an Inspection service.

Williams in manchester ONLY offer 116i autos for service. i also don't see the problem for one day, but no chance i could put up with one for 2 weeks.

Must depend on the dealer because the only cars I've ever had during services are 118ds. Will find out what the body shop offers when it goes in for repairs after they damaged it during the last warranty repair.

A lot of BMW approved bodyshops aren't BMW owned/run and work on all different marques so you could end up with anything.

Apparently £1800 worth of damage. Wish I owned a BMW bodyshop!

Why did you not manage to do this to the Passat? Would have been a perfect way to get rid of it ;)

Same at Williams in Liverpool. I had one for 2 weeks whilst a steering problem was being diagnosed/repaired :(

On the bright side, it made my 525d feel like a supercar when I got it back :D
