What kind of cack is that, surely if you use a decent oil you will get 6k out of it between changes.
 
They redline at 10krpm? and if driven properly...reguarly too....

Whats wrong with more than average oil changes? :p

I'm not saying Tim was wrong, but in videos I've watched I've seen them revving to 10k.

Now, Tim has said they don't do that it says that the ones in those videos had a custom ecu map.
 
Which videos? Standard DC2's don't do 9000rpm.

S2000's do.

Oh was it the Spoon DC2? That's more than just an ECU mod dude.
 
Quite possibly, I was searching for for "Integra DC2 Spoon" - hoping for some nice exhaust noise :p

Some have raised it to over 9k after a remap and still don't have the power drop off after 9000rpm.

I certainly wouldn't want to raise it any higher just for the sake of the engine. But I did speak to a Honda Engineer a good few years ago who told me these engines were tested @ 10k rpm for 24hours :eek:

Was at a careers fair and they had a B18C in a glass cabinet which prompte my conersation starter with him. Wish I had gone into automotive, much more fun albeit nto so safe currently :D
