Gordon Brown's 'bigoted woman' jibe

I'm glad and very much relieved it took an old battleaxe to put the final nail in Brown's coffin!

Roll on May!

She isn't comming out of her house!

That's a real telling sign!

If she doesn't come out soon and say she's accepting his apology and say she's voting Labour this is going to look real bad!

The ill-advised microphone was just a gaffe, could happen to anyone and doesn't really help his cause much, but hey, these things happen. On the plus side it will give HIGNFY something to talk about. The insincere apology on the radio station was just painful to watch and I think is more damaging over all. As said earlier in the thread, he was apologising for getting caught not for what he said.

Even if she spewed out the most vile racist stuff, Brown shouldn't have said anything. I don't expect a prime minister to make off the cuff remarks behind people's backs like that. He should have just taken it on the chin and learned from it. Instead he now looks like one of those shifty dudes from hidden recordings of BNP members.

Exactly. He got caught out and now is trying to fix the damage.

If she actually was a bigoted woman i don't see what the problem was...
Plus its hardly offensive. Well i don't think it is anyway

Her comments about Eastern Europeans was amusing "Where are they all coming from", clearly Mars, where else. She acts like nobody from Britain ever goes abroad to live.

Well she did raise a question many people have brought up over the last few years but its the attitude he showed here which is the most worrying.

If he think she wrong then fine explain why, but he just write the women of as a bigot. :(

Who cares? he could have called her a **** for all i care..

Just watched the video of her not commenting  Its only a a word, get over it you silly old bag

What’s also telling that no ones mentioned yet is that the whole thing is staged managed, the process of it all broke down. At least DC likes to confront people that challenge him

Yep every public event they attend is pre-planned and simply acted out the way they want you to see it, our "representitives" need to come back down to Earth and actually engage with normal people in the street rather than their own actors.

The whole reason why Gordon Brown was upset is because she wasn't invited to the circus.

So,anyone who is concerned with immigration in any way, shape or form,is a bigot? Thats 90% of the country who won't be voting for labour then.
