I sometimes get frustrated, then I look at the score board and I have like 2 k/d and sometimes ace pin. Its a frustrating experience sometimes. I like rush mode though, u can rack up the kills (or deaths) on that.

it wasnt so much that i wasnt doign well :D wasnt just a rage quit. i was about 1.1 most of the time although i did manage three headshots with a 1 burst from the m416 which made me laugh.
it was just the amount of times i was missing.
liek unloading a full clip into someone and only killing them in the last shot. usually i kill someone with a 3rd of a clip to 1/2 at most.

the worst one was a guy who had just c4d a tank right next to me, he was running away so i was strafing right next to him, absolutley unloading a clip straight into his face at point blank (exactly like the shotgun video :D) for him to blow up the tank turn around and kill me while i was reloading after emptying the f2000's clip into him and a pistol clip.

Been on TFU hardcore most of the evening, great fun with another mate of mine!! Eye's sore now though, must remember to blink now and then lol

One my own its boring but I jump on with a mate and have a laugh as we go, I like it more when you have comms and are chatting and planning etc..

That's why i stick with the OcUK server, playing with people I know. But still it's like "meh" after a while. I think the obvious noob guns and lack of big maps, especially with jets and choppers is what's making it lose the fun factor.

i just wish the copters were worth a damn. i remember the days of epic dog fights with them and then if youd managed to kill the other guy go and destroy loads of stuff while makign sure you didnt get taken down. brill

bfbc2

the blackhawk is the most fun to drive... pretty naff though still (hardly going to prescion runnign people over with it like the other games)
the guns on the side are pretty awful, and you can get sniped out the cockpit with one shot.

the apache thing is mega crap, awful handling and you seem to be able to be shot down by a guy with a pistol

Not that keen on the blackhawk mini guns either, when they fire they produce that much flash, you cant see what your shooting at.

^^ Nice

Does anyone else have weird Medals and Gold Medal screens? there's lots of medals filled in which I haven't got :S

Tell me about it

I outlined wtf I think's wrong with the game and why i'm getting bored on the EA forums, may as well post it here too.

1) The maps are very narrow and enclosed. In BC2 on each map it roughly goes the same way each time, you play the map and you kind of have your own set tactic or route you will go. You know basically where the enemies will be, get a few kills, maybe die, go back rinse and repeat. In BF2 and BF2142 the wider maps made it more interesting because there's more variation of tactics, you won't always take the same route, and people would be everywhere.

2) Vehicles i.e. Lack of chopper maps / Jets
Here's a biggie, in the previous games air was kinda in it's own league, compared to ground vehicles and infantry, which gave you more diversity. There was always a dog fight (Which are brilliant fun) without too much interference from the ground troops. The problem lies there that the ceiling is so low that it's easy for the ground types to intervene. At first I thought it would be great "Yeah, no more jet/chopper rape constantly!" but now I kinda miss it, the dog fights, the diversity, just the pure fun of having a chopper v.s. jet or jet v.s. jet fight.

3) Skill level
In the previous BF games you could always improve, there was always new tactics and things to do, in vehicles there was always new skills you could pick up or new ways to play. This skill level took ages to achieve, but the constant improvement was a great accomplishment. In BC2 it seems after maybe a week you get to a certain level, after this you'll get to the next level in maybe the next 2 weeks, then you hit a wall. There is really nothing to improve on. Part of my gaming is to improve my playing over time, but when you hit a wall after such a short time you feel like "Yeah, now what?" "Oh".

4) Unlocks "unlock" too fast
Getting new guns is brilliant, up until rank 25 which is where it comes to a halt, till about 35 you can keep playing happily gaining ranks. But after 35 there is a real amount of effort to rank up, for no real unlock or achievement besides maybe having a bigger e-peen due to the symbol next to your name. There should be guns which take so long to get, that won't be totally OP, but will make people want to get to that rank to unlock them, just for a sense of achievement when you can finally use it.

I took 2 weeks off when I was around level 30 and it seems to have worked slightly, the game is most fun when you're playing with people you know though.

Think I'm starting to get a bit bored of the game now, can't stand to play more than a few rounds.

Welcome to the club mate :(

Yeah, they should have left this for the consoles only.

I'm not having a dig at the consoles, but this BF doesn't feel right on the pc.

The maps are crap, the 32 player maximum is so limiting and worst but not least the releasing of this game has been utterly, utterly embarrassing in this day and age. How many weeks since the relaese and still no sign of getting out the beta phase.

And it proves what sort of numpties are working at these places.

What do most game developers and most politicans have in common ?

They are both useless at their job.

Hopefully there'll still be people playing it when I get time to start playing again next week :)

I'll still be playing, but then I think I've only played around 15 hours total since release so it'll be a while before I get bored. I really do wonder where you lot find the time to spend as long gaming as you do?!
