I think there is something quite compelling about the things we don't choose - family, name, country of birth - I wouldn't change them for the world.

This is coming from someone who has "Dick" in their surname and was mercilessly 'bullied' over it!

HAHA actually I dont mind, its Diplock It just does'nt suit me. At the same time I have no idea which last name would compliment my first.

I immediately think of the courts in Northern Ireland when I hear that name. Do you have a middle name that you might use instead? I know a few people who go by their middle name rather than their given name.

My other half wants to change her name to Hendricks as she likes the Gin so much .

Does she look anything like Christina Hendricks? If she does then I'd be sorely tempted to let her change her name to anything she wanted.
