Mini rant.... (I know you guys love em)

I decided to buy the phone sim free (already on a simplicity contract with O2 and have home broadband). So then I pay for the Saturday delivery and it ends up getting delivered 8am in the morning, of course I couldn't go down to the front door in time (I live in student accommodation flats)

Ended up walking to the post office to collect but they were closed already..... awesome start to a bank holiday don't you think? :p
 
According to the e-forum, people who ordered as late as Thursday have received a text to say a handset has been allocated to them and a delivery date, so I guess you'll be amongst them Fox, or at least should be.


No text for me yet. Also ordered on Thurs.
 
Sorted my Desire contract on the 21st April through the Twitter team, just this second I received a text confirming my phone is coming on the 5th May.
 
Anyone know of a decent third party email app for Gmail that will push, I tried K-9 Mail but the screen goes black when scrolling emails which annoyed me! :? It also syncs every minute which is slightly better than the default Mail application on the OS but I'm guessing this would drain the battery very fast.

I ordered from the website Friday 23rd. Nothing from them yet :(
 
Which contract are people going for on Vodafone? Will be my first contract if I decide to go ahead.

Currently looking at this one:

Is that 500mb data allowance per month, and does the extra 300 minutes make it 900 or is it already added to the information about it?
 
Just got this phone last week and I'm really impressed by it, works flawlessly :)

Remove the widget and add it again, at some point it will ask you which location to monitor, select current location

You could easily get that deal on an 18 month contract if you rang up and negotiated a little or maybe even get it at 25x18 matey.

Yes data over 2g/3g etc, easily enough if you use WiFi at home and don't go mental streaming i.radio/youtube etc, its FUP so if you do go over Vodafone might warn you but no charge, I have been well over 700meg a few times and never had a telling off or found a hefty bill at the end of the month.

Make sure you get an app from android market called NetSentry so you can set a limit of lets say 450meg over 2g/3g for peace of mind.

Yes that looks like 900 minutes in total per month.

Thanks for the reply, I think I'll give them a ring at some point then.

I can't see the 500mb data limit being an issue for me at all, I'm currently on an iPhone with Orange (PAYG) and I get 250mb per month and I'm yet to hit that limit.
 
I just got a text sent to my landline. :confused:

Said "Please make sure you are available to sign reciept. Shipment confirmation message will be sent in due course"

Whatever that means. No date.

I've had no text, nothing. Infact all I've had is a hand typed confirmation of what was discussed from the guy who I spoke to in the 'High Value Retentions Team'.

I've called them and they've confirmed I have an order, mind, but I've certainly had nothing to say its been despatched.
