Set the resolution to something less.

Your resale value with this screen is higher, and when true resolution independence arrives... you can have big text and higher detail.

God no lol non-native resolutions would look terrible. AbsenceJam did you order direct from apple? Just wondering how you got the new MBP if you ordered the older generation...I'm guessing it wasn't direct.
 
Right, tested audio over HDMI and it works on my 13.3" model. :D Currently using my new MBP as an expensive Apple TV.

But it only works in mirror mode as far as I can tell.

As I loved the high resolution 15" MBP I saw in the store! :cool:

The high-res screen lowered to the standard res, well actually it's not the same but it's very close, looks far far worse than the standard-res screen on it's native res. :) (I went and played around with both the 15" glossy standard res and 15" matte high-res side by side.)

MBP

Gotta admit when I was ordering at uni I chickened out of buying the MBP. Had my eyes on the 15" i5 but by the time you add the matte screen the cost was too forbidding. Ordered a mid spec mac mini instead.
 
I just picked up a i5 15" standard spec from a high street store having got over £200 of list from them and also having a free copy of Office 2008 chucked in I think I got a pretty good deal. This replaced an Envy 15 which was damaged when it arrived. Cost me a bit more than the Envy but much happier with with the Macbook, better screen, battery life and a so much cooler and quieter

Nice to be back on a Mac as not had one for over a year, will get everything installed over the next few days.

I'm very tempted to get a 13" MBP. I need a laptop so gonna sell my 24" iMac in 2 weeks I think (I need it to get my lab report done first). :)
