the only one I know that can be cancelled is cr.mp into neck breaker.

ive been messing with cr.mp, the range is ok but it feels kinda slow (i dunno if it actually is).

f.lk is crap range
s.lk -> s.mk is crap range

poke wise, im liking s.hp -> s.hp, b.mk, cr.mk, cr.hk but none of them cancel. ive been abusing command dash a lot to get in and also max range slide

I broke my stick!!!

Nothing a couple of nails cant fix tomorrow, but not ideal. Got a MASSIVE sulk on now

nah I was in 4 but feel they've played with her timings a bit in ssf4 ,that with the added characters and she seems even weaker.

I just did Adon med arcade with one continue(got stuck at zangief) he is amazing!! So think I will main him- no proj but his flying kick thing is the nuts as his the combos.
Haven't tried online yet with him tho...so will see

i think you should try makoto as well. she got amazing rush down play, if you can get the timing and mind games right, you can get some quick wins with her

Anyone got any tips for someone who's truly rubbish?

Like who's a good character to start with? What's the basics etc etc?

I've tried doing the Arcade mode on Medium and couldn't get past the 3 opponent and even the g/f was beating my arse with Dhalsim

I really want to be half decent at this game but at this rate I can see me throwing my controller through the window :mad:

Ducking, you do a half circle and kick then afterwards you can follow up with a ducking upper (another kick) or ducking straight (a punch)

It was (is) a custom stick....

I would say Ken, ryu ... There specials are easy (qc) mostly, and are easy to connect with. Make sure you go into training and just practice specials, supers and ultras and then do arcade a fair bit.

Once you can do it with them Start looking into other characters and see what kilcks but def go ryu or Ken to Start and just learn.
You have played other street fighters right???

imo i would start with someone like ryu or ken. start by learning their special moves, super and ultras. Do the trial mode to learn some of the basic combos and you could also look at youtube clips. Just keep practicing it will eventually click, training mode is your best friend

hit the training and trial mode to learn how to do moves and combos. everything else will come from exp from better beat by better players and learn from them.

i think sagat or ryu is the easiest to learn of all the quarter circle moves characters, as they are powerful and have a bit of everything (in term of stuff to learn and variety of moves)

and blanka is the easiest to learn out of the charge characters, as he too has a bit of everything and a powerful ultra to boot.

I think Balrog is the easiest to learn, nearly all his moves are safe and he has a very easy ultra setup.

Rainiac - Ggs bud. Some games I was really plagued with lag and my combos were not pulling off at all.

T-Hawk is so text book and I was just waiting for your nose dive thingy (no clue what its called) but I do not know what the proper defence is for it (tried cr. Hp/upper cut which worked sometimes but not always, flash kick needs a charge).

Dhalsim - by the last few games I gotten sick of him, people complain about playing against Guile... Maaaan Dhalsim is even worse!

Anyway despite some losses today I feel my game has improved a little more, but I have left myself open today to many silly mistakes...

Onwards! And get that connection sorted

Adz mate I was at the last match with Rainiac and had to head off so couldnt play unfortunately. Next time
