Racist in takeaway last night

police does nothing.. so why would anyone care? beat up.. steal.. rob houses etc.. you won't get cough 99% of the time.. why bother working? this country is messed up.. some youths can't be controlled... insurance is your only hope lol...

parks like Green Park/Hyde Park is central London are FILLED with police.... yet those are the most quite places in London... tourists only.. while parks around my house are full of trouble causing CHAVS who do what ever the poo they want and no one will come not even patrol around the parks... so where's the so needed police? oh.. eating donuts at Green Park.. :o <----RANT

This is exactly how I feel about the police. And I've had pretty much exactly the same experiences with them.

One day they were at my college gates, pointlessly searching most people going in and out. Like a dealer with several benners and a shank is going to walk right into their hands. Idiots, complete idiots and a waste of money.

Tell me about it, our family and house went through several years of racial abuse, swastikas and eggs to the house, bricks and bottles of ****(urine) through the windows. My mum attempting suicide several times cos of this. Police did nothing even though we know who it was. Had to move cos we couldn't take it anymore.

That's truely awful, no one should have to experiance that. I hope yourself and the rest of your family have managed to forget the psychological and physical torment brought upon you.

[off topic]I dunno, didn't help that my family wasn't the most nuclear in the world either. (Father-Mother conflicts). My older brother's clinically depressed and has pretty much given hope. I've been trying so hard to live a normal life and get a degree but my concentration problems are holding me back. My school and now part time job are the only escapes I had/have but it's not what makes me happy. Sometimes I cry just thinking about it:( [/off topic]

Well the Police have never done anything in all of the dealings I've had with them. 2 out of 3 of those times the crime was caught on CCTV and still nothing happened. The likely outcome is the police will have a word with him at best and then he definitely will get his head kicked in if he ever sees him again.
 
I would be very tempted to get the people back, one way or another! I know it is going down to thier level but as said before, the police are rubbish.
 
Ok well to the people that say the police arent doing anything have you actually followed up your report or complained that nothing has been done. Theres either a good reason nothing has happened or the police are genuinely being lazy.

That said the police force is made up of individuals, despite having to stick to procedures law etc youre going to find different people handle things differently. Which should not be the case i know but it happens.

If the OP did report it and those guys come around again they are going to take it out on him. Especially if its a place he goes to regularly. If it happens again then yes he should report it as should the shop owner, as i said the before the shop owner should have reported it anyway.

Meh im ranting now :S
 
Guest2, i'm glad you come away from this ok, nothing more than damaged pride i hope. I understand why you decided not to tell the police, generally they wont do a lot, or not enough to ensure your safety anyway. I think you did the right thing. Unfortunately this gang culture thing seems to be everywhere nowadays in some form or another (obviously worse in the big cities). As has been previously mentioned, nobody is willing to tackle it head on due to the fear of being labelled as racist. The worse thing is you often can't stand up for yourself either because you know one of the little yobs will have a knife.

I am sorry to hear Grudas' and Manos' stories, hope you guys get over these things, don't let it beat you or they would have won. These stories make me realise how lucky i am to live in the area i do. It's not great, but the worse we have to deal with is chavs bottling each other in town (police do nothing about this either).

Okay so no one seems to know the difference here. The Police MAN side of their job is to "keep the peace" and are your friend. Police OFFICERS enforce corporate legislation and are the ones who give you all these pointless fines and seem to do nothing else - not your friend.

The reality is many of the police do not actually know the difference either and they have been trained to be Police Officers.
