*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Wish O2 would get there act together I can upgrade from 6th May but they still haven't got the Desire.

Still not decided if I should wait for the new iphone though arghhhh

Just got the Vodafone twitter deal for £20x15 £30x3, so now I have 2 desires, that's dedication I tells you. Couldn't pass up such a cheap offer as I can sell the phone and essentially get an 18 month contract for ~ £60

Gotta get rid of one now haha!

They're still giving out that deal? I thought it finished at the end of April!?

The offers we make via @VodafoneUKdeals are time-limited and Twitter exclusive. As it happens, on this occasion the offer mentioned in these blogs was incorrect.

The offer made was on the 24 month, £30 for 600 minutes and Unlimited Texts plan where the phone is available for free. The Twitter exclusive knocked this down to £20 per month for the first 21 months, all other details remained the same.

Whilst this offer is no longer available... blah

:(

Trying to get my pac code from 3 for my payg sim is an absoloute joke! What phone, what network, how many minutes, what texts, data usage, why not 3. after all that he puts me on hold to 'retrieve my pac code' and cuts me off the ****. Bloody ****** call centers.

I don't like jumping through hoops for something that I'm entitled too. 4th time lucky eh..

Recieved my handset today from mobiles.co.uk, will orange still be able to change my number, yet to use the contract sim, don't really want to lose my number.

Careful with your data usage if you are on vodafone. People are now getting texts about charges as they have gone over the 500mb limit. Appears its not a FUP after all.

I would find the whole Vodafone stock thing easier to cope with if they would JUST STOP TELLING ME LIES.

I now have a written email telling me my phone 'should have been sent on Friday' when I know for a fact it hasn't been sent at all!

Yeh, I'd already discussed the deal previously though (about 1-2 weeks ago) and they said they'd call back when they had stock. Must've got lucky I guess!

The guy also said that the FUP still applies and that they only contact you if you consistantly go over. However, the iPhone / Nexus One tariffs are different and you get hit with big charges for even going a little over.

The Twitter team are all very helpful I must say, very impressed and thankful.

When reading the whole topic it appears he isnt the only one who is getting messages.

IIRC it only affects people who have signed up recently to a tariff with '500mb usage', whereas people who have signed up xx months ago had unlimited internet with a FUP of 500mb are still on a 'soft' limit.

Come renewal time, I would imagine everyone would be put on the new 500mb hard limit?

Thats probably true but a lot of people on hear have joined voda recently on these Desire offerings and despite several posts from vodafone employees on their forum that the new desire contracts were only a soft limit FUP it now appears that its the exact opposite.

No that's fair enough, I just thought I'd chip in as there seems to be a bit of confusion amongst people about who this affects :p

I'll put another reply in the Voda FUP thread, as it's best placed in there :)

While I was looking around for phones last week the assistant in the vodaphone store told me that the 500 mb is 'actually unlimited'.

Pinch of salt eh?

Hopefully unlimited on T-Mobile really means unlimited.

Hey guys,

If you have received confirmation of the dispatch it will mean that you phone should be with you tomorrow however this can sometimes take up to 3 days due to delays with the delivery company.

I hope to see you with your phones very soon.

I'll be annoyed if I'm waiting about for nothing tomorrow.

I just do not understand how they can justify 500mb. It's not even as if somebody who goes over 500mb a MONTH is taking the mick really, is it? It's 500mb! Less than the storage capacity of a 20 year old CD Rom?

You can understand them not wanting people shifting gigs of data but 500mb?
